I`d like to see the Tardis stay away from Earth for a while myself. I mean it is capable of time and space. Yet its never even been outside of Earth`s system, going back to London to pop in on Rose`s mum and Mickey. Last thing I`d like to see is the show turning into a soap opera with hints of sci fi

I think it would be great to see a historical tale, since we've not had one for years.
Not necessarily ancient history though. It could be something from modern history, such as Kennedy's assassination.
Just think... we already know that the Ninth Doctor was there when JFK rode by. What if the Tenth Doctor and Rose played a more active role in events...?

Yeah I agree, that they should move more away from Earth!
But also I want to see more background story on the Annilation of Gallifrey and why they can't travel back in time before it got blown up!

Good point.... Lets see if any other Time Lords survived the destruction of Gallifrey.

I'd like to see more ties with the classic era. We already know about the return of Sarah Jane and K-9, but I'd also like to see more subtles references throughout the second series. The scarf sequence while the 10th Doctor chose his outfit in The Christmas Invasion filled me with nostalgia...
Also, re-establishing Galiffrey somehow would certainly be nice too. Anyway, they'll *have* to do something at some point about Gallifrey.

Well hopefully BBC`s learnt their lesson. I thought Ecclestone was excellent but it was stupid only signing him for one season and perhaps a waste due to now their almost back at square one.
One thing I don`t want to see if something I read in a magazine here. Silly bint Jordan AKA Katie Price recently expressed an interest in appearing in the show in a big to go from dumb model to crappy actress. For those of you who don`t know who she is, imagine a silly bint with a labotomy and two rubber daleks stuck to her chest ;D

Myself, I'd love to see a Two Doctors with Eccleston and Tennant! I've a sentimental fantasy that after Chris told RTD he'd only do one season, they had a sort of "gentlemen's agreement" that if the show could make it to 2008 (one series after the two-renewed ones), he'd come back for a guest appearance in an episode for the 45th anniversary.

Let's just hope somebody won't get the bright idea to do an anniversary special titled The Seven Doctors... Dom

I assume you only say seven as it would follow with the trend of two more doctors from the other multi-Doctor Stories?
Because it has been so long since the classic series, not only have some of the original actors died, some have gotten fat and white haired (T baker).
IMO stand in actors made to look like the orignal characters would not be accepted these days and would make the episode a flop.
Having said that, I think and episode with Eccleston, Tennant, McGann and maybe McCoy could work!

Don't worry, I agree that it would be a *very bad* idea to pick a Doctor farther than McGann, with maybe the exception of Davison. But with what I see on TV nowadays, I would be ready to expect anything for a publicity coup... It just needs a TV executive thinking that bringing back Tom Baker would be a great idea to have fans trying to ressort to some Season 19b explanation for Tom Baker appearance. Dom

I hope that they don't turn each episode into a spot the celebrity contest as more and celebrity's want to jump on the band wagon. I don't mind if there given a good role but Jordon, come on she hasn't got enough brain cells in her head to make a cup of tea let alone act to the standard the new series is on. Mind you they could just give her two seconds on screen before being killed but even that would be too much. Reaction to reading that David Beckham would like to appear in Doctor Who: "Why is it that every time you get something good some stupid brain dead so called celebrity wants to get in on it and lowers the standard ruining the show for everyone." David Beckham is a (Over paid) footballer he should stick to what hes good at. I'm getting off my soap box now and would like to say that as long as the celebrity can act then i have no problems it's just it seems that everyone is jumping on the New series Doctor Who band wagon. It's time to kick a few off. Ashley

If its true, I`m gonna go shoot Billie Pipper cause it`ll have been her who`ll have got him the job. I hope its not, I mean its not as if anyone likes the annoying ginger git. For those who don`t know, he`s the talentless tv presenter who was married to Billie Piper. And famous for.... erm well....... anyway as we say on the wrestling boards I post on "he couldn`t draw flies to him with a mouthful of manure" Add to that the cyberman return will be marred with the grating annoyance of Mickey and Rose`s mother yet again. "Bangs head against wall" And Jon Pertwees doctor thought He was an intergalactic yoyo??

I do recall Tom Baker saying a year or two ago (don't pin me down on this cos my recollection is vague) that he quite liked the notion of guesting in a future Dr Who as a villain. The idea conjures up some interesting possibilies.
