I was disappointed by the Season Finale. There was too much going on and it didn't add up to much. The crying Cyberman was ridiculous, in my opinion. Too much crying from Rose too. I was expecting better somehow. All the elements for a great show were there, it just didn't deliver. I think the crying cyberman, which was Yvonne, meant that part of her was still human. I agree that Rose's crying was a bit overdone. When the Doctor disappeared before he could say what he wanted to say to Rose and had tears in his eyes, I figured that he was going to say the same thing Rose said to him. First time I saw the Doctor in tears.

I haven't seen this episode yet (although it's one of my TiVo'ed lineup), but I'm generally aware of what happens, so I'm not feart of spoilers. I am thinking, though, that the 2005 pilot episode, where Eccleston's Doctor is on . . . whatever vessel waiting to watch the Earth's demise, and the, erm, tree lady is talking to him about having discovered his origins, that his eyes did get a bit watery. But again, I haven't seen this episode. Perhaps he's got some actual liquid going there. Nice to see another one of those rare pink plus signs on this site. Jennie

Then again, not everyone has their profile set up to show their gender. There could be more ladies using the forum.

I've got tears down my damned neck now. Even sitting next to bloody English hubby who teased me when I cried when Boromir died. I'm still snufflin. Yeah, never seen him with actual tears running down his cheeks like that. Should have got a proper time to mourn, though, without some wierd bride chick turning up inside his TARDIS. Anyway, that was extremely bloody sad. And no, I don't think her crying was overdone, actually. It just looked extra dramatic because she wears way too much makeup and it all smeared, is all. And he was all going to believe that she'd go back to work in the shop. Sheesh. ;D

How Doomsday Should Have Ended: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfK8y7KVADoQuite fun how Doomsday should have ended and not quite a simple solution to this problem. Quite a surprising cameo at the end. My viewing of this video is coincidental to the fact that the first Tenth Doctor-Rose farewell scene had recently topped a SFX poll of best sci-fi/fantasy moments.
