Never My Love: Season 5 finale. Harrowing way to end the fifth season with what Claire goes experiences with her kidnap. During this bad experience, Claire has dreams of her family set in her time in the 20th century. Quite interesting seeing the characters especially Jamie who are normally seen in the 18th century in the 20th century setting. Thankfully Claire gets rescued by Jamie. The season ends with Jamie and Claire cuddle together in bed with the latter recovering from that bad experience.
Unsurprisingly comes a certain helpline at the end credits reflecting the themes of this episode.

Echoes: Season 6 opener. This came on March 6 2022 and marks Outlander’s long awaited return as the previous season had ended almost two years earlier on May 10 2020. No doubt due to the long break between seasons I was taken aback to find this season opener almost an hour and a half long which certainly knocked off much of the momentum I had thought I was having this day. Interesting start to this season with Jamie reunited with someone he thought he never again and how he dealt with a problem that came not long after that.

Allegiance: Season 6, Episode 2. Quite a temptation offered to Jamie given that he is married to Claire, one he managed to brush off delicately. Quite interesting seeing Jamie performing his task as Indian Agent. Interesting how it addressed what it says in the episode title and who Jamie expressed this to.

Temperance: Season 6, Episode 3. Quite reckless by kids putting the baby in the river for a test. Interesting Claire suggesting to Tom Christie that he reads Tom Jones which she lends to him while he is healing from his wounds. Ominous that this ends with news that the Boston Tea Party is now underway and everyone knows the consequence of this.

Hour of the Wolf: Season 6, Episode 4. Ian tells his story of being married to an Indian woman and having a child with her but it is a sad story as Ian didn’t get to see his child before the child was taken away from him. Intense with the duel with the one of the participants resorted to cheating but got spared his life by the other as he had shown his cowardice. Also it was funny that earlier of hearing Jamie saying “Greased Lightning”!

Give Me Liberty: Season 6, Episode 5. Intriguing Jamie becoming a rebel. Claire gets back unfortunate memories at a party. Enthralling that this ends with the introduction of a mysterious figure.

The World Turned Upside Down: Antepenultimate episode of season 6. The world sure turned upside down when Malva accused Jamie of impregnating her which he denies. This came just after Claire recovered from a long illness. This situation became more intense when Malva came to her later on (or it may have been a dream) with Claire ended up threatening her. Didn't get a good feeling when Claire made that threat and I saw it coming when Claire found Malva dead. Claire then took out Malva out of her but the baby is dead as well. Quite a shocking end to a very intense episode.

Sticks and Stones: Penultimate episode of season 6. The episode title sure brings back me growing up as I easily got affected by what is said about me and how I react to it. Interesting how a wedding came about and the lead-up to it. This continues with the mystery of who killed Malva and somehow I should not surprised, but still saddened, that Claire gets arrested for her murder.

I Am Not Alone: Season 6 finale. Given the episode title, the similar words of “You Are Not Alone” is a key plot point in Doctor Who: Utopia and John Bell (Young Ian) was a guest star in that episode, Harrowing with Claire’s arrest and she and Jamie are separated forcibly along the way. While Jamie is saved from his situation this leaves on the cliffhanger of what is going happened to Claire.

A Life Well Lost: Season 7 opener. It is race against time as Jamie fights to save Claire from the gallows. Claire continues to protest her innocence including to a woman she has brought in to treat. This woman said about Claire that she had never met a murderess before in which Claire that she isn’t one. Frankly the wording of this response was wrong as Claire should have said to the woman that she (the woman) still hasn’t met a murderess. Quite surprising how Claire got saved from the gallows in the end including hearing disturbing details about Malva, whom Claire was accused of murdering.

The Happiest Place on Earth: Season 7, Episode 2. This episode starts with the revelation of who really killed Malva but it is too late for Tom Christie who already made his sacrifice to save Claire. The episode title refers to Disneyland with a brief shot of it in the title sequence and Bree explaining to Jamie what Disneyland is. Not bad analogy of Disneyland to what is been going on here amidst the bad news about Bree's newly born child whom Claire discovered has a deadly medical condition unless he is properly treated and that treatment is available in the 20th century. This ultimately leads to Bree and Roger taking their child back to the 20th century in a very sad goodbye marking an emotional episode. However on top of that is a hostage situation that ends this episode in a literal explosion. I would wonder whether Claire and Jamie survived this if not for the trailer for the next episode showing they are alive and well.

Death Be Not Proud: Season 7, Episode 3. Now back in the 20th century, Bree and Roger read letters from Claire and Jamie in the 18th century. Quite emotional on them reading these letters with Bree not wanting to read all of them at once because for her once all the letters are read her parents would truly be gone. in the midst of this they unexpectedly got an opportunity in a piece of real estate. Back in the 18th century tragedy comes when Ian accidentally kills Mrs Bug and Mr Bug vowing revenge although Claire has said that he has never returned.

Singapore: Season 7, Episode 5. The episode title refers to the Battle of Singapore during World War II as Claire makes an analogy of it to Jamie as to the situation they are facing. Poor Bree as she got pranked by her co-workers in the 20th century but ultimately got their respect at the end. Quite an end with Bree’s voiceover at the start of the end credits.
