Moving Targets: Antepenultimate episode of season 5. Directed by Lucy Liu (Joan). Very good direction by Lucy Liu as it deals with the case of a police chief who got murdered whilst as a contestant on reality game show. Pretty good trick on how the murderer got flushed out to be arrested by the police. A shocking end when Joan finds Shinwell dead in his apartment. Moving Targets came on May 7 2017 and in a sad irony of life imitating art, a little over two months after this episode aired Nelsan Ellis the actor who played Shinwell died for real on July 8.

Hurt Me, Hurt You: Season 5 finale. Good handling of the season story arc with SBK. Fascinating when Sherlock’s place was on fire and then the season ends on a cliffhanger with him going through an MRI.

An Infinite Capacity For Taking Pains: Season 6 opener. Fascinating case about sex tapes and how it led to murders. My wife Karen Gillan and I have a sex tape of our own and we have fantastic sex together. Very very intriguing after Michael finished his call to Sherlock that he was about to bury a dead woman!
Meanwhile Elementary has been renewed for a seventh season.

Once You've Ruled Out God: Season 6, Episode 2. Actually I don’t on what it says in the episode title. Sad about Joan losing her father. Fascinating episode in which the threat of the use of plutonium was used to mask a robbery.

How to Get a Head: Season 6, Episode 15. Unsurprising that the episode title was in reference to someone’s head remove from his body. Not bad case and this is tied with the search with Marcus’ replacement.

Whatever Remains, However Improbable: Season 6 finale. The episode title is of course that well known saying from Sherlock Holmes as written by Arthur Conan Doyle. What a shocking revelation that it was Gregson’s daughter Hannah had killed Michael for revenge in killing her friend and that the captain himself had covered it up which unintentionally led to Joan becoming the prime suspect. More shocking is that in order to protect Hannah and cleared Joan of murdering Michael, Sherlock framed himself and then flee the US to go back to the UK and if he ever comes back to the US he will be arrested for the murder he framed himself for. Sherlock says to Joan that they are two people who loved each other. I know it was meant in a platonic way but it still sounded off to me. Surprising end with Joan revealed that she came with Sherlock in the UK as they continue their work there. Unsurprising when I read afterwards that the UK was written as a possible finale before it got renewed for a seventh season.

The Further Adventures: Season 7 opener. Enjoyable first full episode in which Holmes and Watson have relocated themselves to London. Not a bad case about the attack on a model. Shocking end as Captain Gregson in America lying on a hospital bed in critical condition after a shootout.

Gutshot: Season 7, Episode 2. Sherlock and Joan return to the States to investigate Gregson' shooting. I should have guess that the entire final season will not be spent with them in London and with this the second episode of the final season being the time to bring them home. Not bad this investigation and when it was over it should not have been surprising that Sherlock decided to turn himself in at the end.

The Price of Admission: Season 7, Episode 3. Guest stars Daniel Davis and he had played Professor Moriarty in two Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes, Elementary, Dear Data & Ship in a Bottle. Intriguing situation with the FBI agent that Sherlock meet and that is just the start. Not bad episode about a murder in a storage facility.

Red Light, Green Light: Season 7, Episode 4. Intriguing case about an accident caused by confusing traffic lights but was it really an accident. Plus also intriguing of how this episode by what was said at that prison.

Into the Woods: Season 7, Episode 5. Not bad episode that starts with a murder in the said woods and how it relates to the threat made against the niece of a billionaire. Quite a revelation for the billionaire’s true motive in hiring Sherlock and Joan.
