Heroine: Season 1 finale. Guest stars Arnold Vosloo. Not bad incorporating the real-life dispute over the use of the name Macedonia in this episode. Somewhat ingenious on how Sherlock got Irene/Moriarty arrested.
Meanwhile season 2 makes its world debut in the US on September 26.

Lucy Liu was interviewed by Andrew Fenton for the Sydney Sunday Telegraph tv guide of March 22-28 about her role as Joan Watson in Elementary in an article entitled My dear Watson. She was asked whether Holmes and Watson should ever get romantic in which she says she hopes not. “You know, we’ve gone off the literature in a lot of ways, but the fact we are kind of sticking to the [original] relationship between the two, Sherlock and Watson, is incredibly important. I think it’s very natural [that viewers want] to see how relationships develop into romantic relationships [but] I think it’s more dramatic in some ways to see the tension between two people that never get together.” [Holmes himself Jonny Lee Miller had earlier addressed this question when he appeared on The View in 2013 in which he was emphatic that the relationship between Holmes and Watson remain platonic.] On the arrival of Kitty (Ophelia Lovibond), Lucy Liu says it is “a little bit insulting. He [Holmes] basically says to Watson, ‘You’re replaceable and I’m bringing this other girl on.’”
The third season saw Watson getting a new boyfriend Andrew (Raza Jaffrey) in which Elementary creator Robert Doherty had guaranteed that he won’t end up being a lieutenant of Moriarty.

Under My Skin:
Season 3, Episode 21.
The episode title is quite literal as it was about drug smuggling hidden in people’s bodies.
Funny when Janko said that he would like to be contacted through lawyer rather than dentist. Certainly an original line that I have heard.
Meanwhile Sherlock has fired Alfredo as his sponsor so that he can be his friend. Astounding that in this situation no one can be both friend and sponsor.

You've Got Me, Who's Got You?: Season 4, Episode 17. Written by Paul Cornell in his series debut. In fact Cornell is the first Doctor Who writer to write on Elementary. Elementary is a contemporary take on Sherlock Holmes a premise that is also explored by Sherlock. Remarkably Cornell is one Doctor Who writer who has not yet written for Sherlock but found his way to Elementary instead! This Elementary episode featured the murder of a comic book hero impersonator and has a comic book office as a setting. Cornell certainly knows this subject matter well as he himself is a writer on comics with Doctor Who as well as DC and Marvel titles. Cornell presents a good mystery of who killed the comic book hero impersonator and one wonder how he would handle a Sherlock episode if he ever gets this opportunity.

Folie a Deux: Season 5 opener. Enjoyable opener to the fifth season with a plot about a bomber and introducing Shinwell Johnson, a former patient of Joan’s.

Worth Several Cities: Season 5, Episode 2. Guest stars Ron Rifkin, Jon Huertas and Francis Jue. Huertas had played Detective Esposito in Castle but he is on the opposite side of the law in this Elementary episode. Jue played Chinese Foreign Minister Chen in Madam Secretary and in this Elementary episode he plays another official of the Chinese Government. Very good episode in which the Imperial Jade Seal of China got linked to a murder. Also not bad Joan tracking Shinwell’s daughter.
