Tegan could only talk nonsense, talk rubbish, whine and so on... I think that's what made her so amusing in my eyes! ;D

I had no real problem with Adric. He wasn't the best, but he certainly wasn't the worst. Neither did I. I don't understand why so many are picking on him. It was sad because if he had known earth's history he wouldn't have stayed on board. I had this on tape at one time. But when the silent end credits started, some nitwit announcer's voice came on. I think that spoiled it.

Sure. (short version) The cybermen highjacked a 26th century ship to use as a bomb on earth. The doctor, Nyssa, and Tegan were captured on board the Tardis. Adric and some other people from that century were forced to stay on the ship. Everyone got off on an escape pod, but Adric stayed in order to try and break some codes to keep the ship from crashing on earth and destroying it. The ship was traveling back in time. (don't remember how that happened) The doctor discovered that it had traveled back about 65 million years to when the dinosaurs were wiped out. This meant that the ship would become part of earth's history. The doctor couldn't get back to save Adric because the cyberleader had blasted the Tardis's console. The ship crashed, everyone reacted, and the credits were run in silence for the first time over Adric's shattered badge which the doctor used to eliminate the cyberleader.
For some reason I couldn't click on my choice in the poll, but my vote is: No! He did not deserve to die.

Adric- Good Points: Ummm, can you let me think about that one? Bad Points: He's Whiny He's irritating He (except in "Full Circle", "State of Decay", "Logopolis", "Castrovalva" and "Earthshock") generally serves no purpose to the plot (though this one is very subjective) And generally, I hate him. I bet many were glad too see him go, especially when there's one thing Doctor Who fans can't stand; being reminded of themselves, like Adric did. My tuppence worth really.

You call that a short explanation!
The badge didn't happen to be made of gold did it? I was watched Doctor Who and the Cyber Family (Dead Ringers) and he mentioned killing the Cyber Leader with gold.

I guess it was pretty long-winded. I didn't know how much you already knew about that episode. Yes, the badge was made of gold.

O.K. one more rant from me on Adric being picked on. He was just a kid (teenager I guess) and one of the good guys. Not very nice to say a good guy deserved to die. Tsk, tsk.

But you're dealing with the type of people here who watch 'The Daleks' and secretly want the Thals to loose.

Man Adric was Dr Who`s equivilant of Jar Jar wasn`t he? I think the problem was he seemed to spend much of the time whining and being "misunderstood" etc and whilst writers may have thought they some viewers might relate to him, no one wants to seem themselves as a pain in the backside

He could be an annoying little twerp, but I was still sorry to see him die. A little bit. It's been awhile since I saw the episodes with Adric. I recently watched The Visitation on YouTube (where else). There was a scene where he was whining about the Doctor not being here when they need him. I wanted to say, "Knock it off!" It was like nails being dragged on a chalkboard! Sheesh! Did he always do that? I guess that's what everybody means about Adric being annoying. He still didn't deserve to die. Just put some tape on his mouth! ;D

There were many teenage companions who were actually enjoyable in the series. They could have removed him from the series without killing him though.
