From DoctorWhoNews.com: William Thomas returns as Gwen’s dad Geraint Cooper and he is credited as a Series Regular. Other casting are: Lena Kaur as Dr. Alicia Patel.
Danny Szam as Surveillance.
Daniel Adegboyega (Spooks) is listed as playing a guard.
Jane Espenson confirmed that each of the ten episodes will have individual titles. She is writing episodes 3, 5, 7 and 8 (the latter co-written with Ryan Scott), Russell T Davies as expected is writing the season opener and will bookend the season by writing the finale as well, Doris Egan is handling episode 2 and John Shiban episode 6. The writer(s) for episodes 4 and 9 is yet to be revealed.
Episode 1 is directed by Bharat Nalluri, and episode two by Bill Gierhart.

From DoctorWhoNews.net: Both of Gwen’s parents will be in Miracle Day as Sharon Morgan is back as Gwen’s mum Mary. Other casting are Martin James Fox, Graham, Hymnson Chan, Brian Guest as Alexander Peterssen, and Denny Torich as "Prison Guard".

Ernie Hudson has been cast in Miracle Day.
This was confirmed by Ernie Hudson himself on his Twitter account.
Since Hudson used to be a Ghostbuster, his expertise would undoubtedly been useful in past episodes like Ghost Machine & To The Last Man.

From The Doctor Who News Page: Two new directors have been revealed for Torchwood: Miracle Day -Gwyneth Horder-Payton and Guy Ferland. Horder-Payton's credits include Battlestar Galactica & Fringe. Ferland’s previous credits includes Human Target. IMDb reports that Ferland is directing episode 6 written by John Shiban.
It has been reported elsewhere that former The West Wing showrunner John Wells is one of the producers of Miracle Day.

Starz has confirmed with a poster that Torchwood: Miracle Day will debut in the US on July 8. UK start date is as yet unknown.

She had appeared in season 1's Out of Time playing Emma-Louise Cowell. For Miracle Day she is listed as playing Emma/Kate Dysart. It is not known whether this Emma is the same as her Out of Time character.

From the Doctor Who News Page: John De Lancie has signed on as a cast member of Torchwood: Miracle Day.
De Lancie is well known to Star Trek fans for playing Q in three Star Trek TV series mostly on The Next Generation, a one-off in Deep Space Nine and on occasions in Voyager.
His other credits included Stargate SG-1, The Six Million Dollar Man, The West Wing, The New Twilight Zone, Legend, MacGyver, The Practice, Charmed, Murder, She Wrote and the original Battlestar Galactica.
