Gift of the Gods: The first of the Stargate audiobooks from Big Finish released in April 2008 and written by Sally Malcolm.
Michael Shanks reads this story as well as playing Daniel Jackson. Also in this story is John Schwab (Bywater in the Doctor Who TV episode Dalek. He also appeared in some of Big Finish's Doctor Who range) as Major Hunter (although the CD sleeve incorrectly says Lt Hunter).
Set sometime before the season 3 episode Fair Game this has been a very intriguing story and a good use of the alternative reality plot.
Very good twist that comes late in the story.
Very good Stargate debut on Big Finish.
At the end of the disc is an interview with Michael Shanks in which he says he enjoys doing this role on Big Finish as well wondering why this format was not done before for Stargate.

Shell Game: The third of the Stargate audiobooks and the second for SG-1. Released in June 2008 by Big Finish Productions and written by James Swallow. Claudia Black reads this story as well as playing Vala. Also featuring Michael Shanks as Daniel Jackson. It takes place sometime after the season 10 episode The Pegasus Project.
The story starts with Vala in jail on the planet that she was visiting. It was very very funny when she recounts the events leading to where she is right now. It is very funny because she recounts the events with a lot of embellishment.
The conclusion was also very good.
Also in the story Daniel mentioned a bikini planet (definitely would like to go there) and a funny line when Vala described Daniel as a polylingual ultrageek. The interview with Claudia Black at the end of the disc was very enjoyable with her saying that she enjoyed recording this CD.

Saw the 2000 TV movie Quarantine which featured familiar Stargate actors including two who have played similar characters in Stargate at a time SG-1 was still on: -Teryl Rothery played a scientific researcher which is not that different from her Stargate character of Dr Janet Frasier -Gary Chalk played a US military officer and was also a military officer in SG-1 as Colonel Chekov albeit a Russian one.

Incidentally there is a Stargate Atlantis episode called Quarantine but as far as I can tell the TV movie the Atlantis episode did not share any same actors in their respective productions.

Just found out that Doctor Who alum Noel Clarke did some Stargate work thanks to Big Finish Productions. Noel Clarke worked on Stargate SG-1 audiobook First Prime which was released back in 2009. Clarke will soon be seen in the next Star Trek film. So with Doctor Who, Star Trek and Stargate he certainly had worked on the giants of sci fi.

Recently saw The Fly II (1989) and it featured Garry Chalk and Bill Dow both whom would have minor but noticeable roles in Stargate SG-1.

Stargate SG-1 2.14 The Gamekeeper originally shown in July 1998 had Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) through a device had him reliving the death of his parents when he was a boy.
It would not be the only time that a Michael Shanks character re-lived the memory of his parents’ death through an accident when he was a boy when more than a decade later, some years after the end of SG-1, Shanks became a regular in Saving Hope (2012- ) in which his character is in a coma due to an accident and exists in a ghostly form whilst his body is in said coma.
It is in the antepenultimate episode of Saving Hope season 1, The Law of Contagion that the Michael Shanks character re-lived the memory of his parents’ death through an accident when he was a boy.

Saw South Park episode Imaginationland Episode II and had a portal to Imaginationland.
This portal looked suspiciously like the Stargate.
It also had an animated depiction of Kurt Russell because he was in that certain movie of a situation similar to the said portal.

Saw both actors who played Daniel Jackson each in different shows on the same day.
First it was Michael Shanks in The Outer Limits episode Manifest Destiny and then James Spader in his lead role as Raymond Reddington in The Blacklist 4.19 Dr. Bogdan Krilov (No. 29).
