Saw The Visitor 1.5 Remember which guest starred Tony Amendola and he is known to Stargate fans for playing Teal’c mentor Master Bra’tac in SG-1. What is curious about Amendola’s presence in this The Visitor episode is that The Visitor was created Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich and they had written the original Stargate movie but they however were not involved with the development of SG-1 in fact they do not even consider SG-1 to be the continuation of their movie.

Homeland season 7 finale Paean to the People sees President Elizabeth Keane (Elizabeth Marvel) resign meaning she got succeeded by her Vice President Ralph Warner. Warner is played by Beau Bridges and it meant that he got to be President again having been President before in Stargate SG-1: The Road Not Taken, 10.5 & 10.5 Apocalypse.

Saw the TV movie Vipers (2008) and featured two Stargate actors Don S. Davis and Jessica Steen.
Davis was General Hammond in SG-1. In Vipers he played the chief medical officer on an island and at one point said he played golf with three star generals. Perhaps an in-joke to him being General Hammond.
Steen had played Dr Elizabeth Weir in the SG-1 season 7 finale Lost City with the character intending to go on to Stargate Atlantis but Steen chose not to play her beyond that point due to location of filming for Atlantis and was therefore replaced by Torri Higginson.

Rene Auberjonois has passed away.
Born on June 1 1940, Auberjonois had appeared in the Stargate SG-1 episode The Other Side playing Alar.
Auberjonois is well known as a Star Trek luminary as he had played Odo in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Before DS9, his first brush with Star Trek was in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country playing Colonel West.
After DS9 he appeared in the Enterprise episode Oasis playing Ezral.
Other work included the MASH movie as the original Father Mulcahy, McCabe & Mrs. Miller, King Kong, The Bionic Woman, Man from Atlantis, Wonder Woman, Mrs Columbo (in which the title character was played by future Captain Janeway, Kate Mulgrew), Police Academy 5: Assignment: Miami Beach, The Completely Mental Misadventures of Ed Grimley, Snorks, The Little Mermaid, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, Eerie, Indiana, Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Forever, The Savage Dragon, Jumanji, The Outer Limits, Inspector Gadget, The Practice, Justice League, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Boston Legal (alongside former Captain Kirk, William Shatner), Young Justice, Grey's Anatomy, 1600 Penn, Warehouse 13, Planes: Fire & Rescue, Masters of Sex, The Librarians, Avengers Assemble & Madam Secretary.

Fred Willard has passed away.
Born on September 18 1933, Willard appeared in the Stargate SG-1 episode Family Ties playing Jacek.
His other work included Get Smart, Movie Madness, Lois & Clark, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, American Wedding (which also has my favourite girls in this movie Nikki Ziering and Amanda Swisten and I have sex with the both of them), Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure, Wake Up, Ron Burgundy, The Batman, Date Movie, Monster House, WALL-E, Back to You, Pushing Daisies, Castle, Chuck, Scooby-Doo! Legend of the Phantosaur, Community, Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Planes: Fire & Rescue, The Bold and the Beautiful (I come back to this at the end), Fifty Shades of Black and for his last work Space Force (2020-present).
Willard was in three episodes of Space Force but died before the series was released by Netflix and the first of these three episodes, the series' opener The Launch is dedicated to his memory.
As I said about coming back to The Bold and the Beautiful, he played John Forrester. I used to watch The Bold and the Beautiful but I stopped watching it long before he came along. However it had been established long before that his character is the ex-husband of Maggie and father of Jessica played by Barbara Crampton and Maitland Ward respectively and I love both of them so much.
I hereby promise to John that I will take care of Maggie and Jessica by having fantastic sex with them.
Willard died on May 14 2020, just three months before his 88th birthday.

Savarna: Savarna is the penultimate episode of the first Big Finish Stargate season and the final SG-1 episode for this season. Released in August 2008 and written by Sally Malcolm. Starring Teryl Rothery as Dr Janet Frasier and this is set between the season 7 TV episodes Grace & Heroes. Didn't realise until the accompanied interviews with Rothery she did this after Dr Frasier was killed off in the TV series. Therefore she gets to step back in as Janet Frasier after her departure from the TV series. Guest stars Toby Longworth as Lukas Biass. After a mission, Janet went to get some sleep when the Prometheus got attacked. The purpose of this attack is Janet herself as she gets kidnapped by Biass for the purpose of treating a seriously young boy. Absolutely enthralling what went on with this situation and difficult decision that Janet made at the end resulting in the consequence of that decision. It is foreshadow when she said that she does not regret the things she has done but regrets the things she hasn't done. Excellent thanks mainly to Rothery's narration of this story as Janet. I haven't seen the TV series since I finished with it but I am mostly certain that Rothery never had an episode like Savarna in which she is focus of it. Savarna is certainly an excellent rectification of it. Also Savarna is the name of Biass' ship but certainly interesting when it was revealed where he got the name from.
The said accompanied interview includes pointed out that Rothery played Dr Frasier here after she was killed in the TV series, as stated before. Rothery also mentioned her then current work which was for the TV shows Kyle XY & The Guard. Of these two shows I definitely saw her in Kyle XY but like SG-1 the TV series I had finished with it and moved on from it.

First Prime: First Prime is the first episode of the second Big Finish Stargate season. Released in May 2009 and written by James Swallow. Starring Christopher Judge as Teal'c and guest stars Doctor Who companion actor Noel Clarke as Sebe't. Clarke is not the first Doctor Who companion actor to do Stargate as Yee Jee Tso had a minor role in the SG-1 TV episode Absolute Power in 2001. Set during season 4. Teal'c's past as First Prime of Apophis comes back to haunts him as Colonel O'Neill and Daniel Jackson are captured by System Lord's forces. It is here that he faces with an old friend and fellow Jaffa, Sebe't. Quite daunting this reunion since like the rest of the Jaffa, Sebe't viewed Teal'c as a traitor for joining the other side. Quite daunting and enthralling tale in exploring the history between Teal'c and Sebe't with the latter ultimately becoming a tragic figure in all this. Interesting accompanied interview with Judge as it is stated that he did this after doing the Stargate movie Continuum. Plus it is interesting for him going back in Teal'c's timeline in performing First Prime.

Pathogen: Pathogen is the third episode of the second Big Finish Stargate season and the penultimate SG-1 episode this season. Released in July 2009 and written and directed by Sharon Gosling and Pathogen would later be the name of an Universe episode. In fact the SG-1 and Universe narrowly missed having the same season 2 place whereas the SG-1 episode is the third episode of the second Big Finish season, Universe is the fourth episode of its own second season. The SG-1 episode starred Teryl Rothery as Dr Janet Frasier and Christopher Judge as Teal'c. This is only the second Big Finish episode in which both actors are principal Stargate actors after the previous season's Shell Game with Claudia Black (Vala) and Michael Shanks (Daniel Jackson). In SG-1's Pathogen, Frasier and Teal'c got caught in a Goa'uld trap and the place is infected by a pathogen. Fascinating how this unfolded given the danger that is the said pathogen. Intriguing the clue that O'Neill gave to Frasier on the solution to this problem.

Lines of Communications: Lines of Communications is the penultmate episode of the second Big Finish Stargate season and last this season for SG-1. Starring Gary Jones as Walter Harriman and guest star Beth Chalmers as Major Gina Roberts. A couple of years after doing this, Chalmers played Seventh Doctor companion Raine Creevy for Big Finish. This makes her the third Doctor Who companion actor, albeit in her case retrospectively, to do Stargate SG-1 after Yee Jee Tso in the TV episode Absolute Power and Noel Clarke in a previous Big Finish SG-1, First Prime. Released in September 2009 and written and co-directed by Sharon Gosling. Set not long after season 10 and sometime early on Atlantis season 4. After many bit appearances as Walter in the TV series, Jones finally gets an episode in which he is the focus. Very fascinating as Walter recounts to Major Roberts an incident at the SGC in which he and Sgt Siler were alone at the control room. In the course of this Siler becomes unconscious and Walter is mistaken to be the antagonist in this situation. Very well done as Walter pleads in this past event how he is not bad guy here while at the same time tries to figure a solution to this on his own. Definitely a well done episode in which Jones finally gets to shine as Walter. Enjoyable interview with Jones which was dominated by how Walter got his name.

Half-Life: Half-Life is the opener of the third and final Stargate Big Finish season. This sees a change in format, whereas the previous two seasons consists of two actors with one recounting the events of what just happened, this season presents in a full-cast audio play format. Unlike the previous two seasons which was a mix of SG-1 and Atlantis episodes, this season is all SG-1 and all of which with Michael Shanks as Daniel Jackson and Claudia Black as Vala. Half-Life is written by James Swallow and released in May 2012. Set sometime in season 10. Daniel is held in custody for shooting Jack! It is soon discovered that this isn't Daniel not the one known to his friends and colleagues but instead a clone. Fascinating how this set off Vala with the clone Daniel's help to rescue the real Daniel as he held captive by their old foe Ba'al (Cliff Simon reprising him). Enthralling adventure but this is the only the start of Ba'al's overall plan.

An Eye for an Eye: An Eye for an Eye is the second episode of the third and final Stargate Big Finish season. Released in May 2012 and written by Sally Malcolm. Set sometime in season 10. This follows on from the season 10 when it was discovered Ba'al had created a clone of Daniel and Vala getting the real Daniel back. In this episode Daniel and Vala are on the Sun Tzu when they discovered more of Ba'al experiments. Then they picked up a clone of Ba'al or is it Ba'al himself. Fascinating how this all played out with Ba'al or not Ba'al and all this whilst testing the patience of Col. Yun, Sun Tzu's commander. The said Half-Life and An Eye for an Eye are part of a trilogy and the ending for An Eye for an Eye certainly provides a strong ending leading to the final in the trilogy, Infiltration. A funny bit with An Eye for an Eye was when Vala jokingly said about Ba'al winning an Osmond before being corrected by Daniel that it is an Oscar!

Infiltration: Infiltration is the third episode of the third and final Stargate Big Finish season and it is the last in a trilogy after Half-Life & An Eye for an Eye. Released in May 2012 and written by Steve Lyons. Set sometime in season 10. I was surprised to have just read that writer Lyons had not seen Stargate on TV when he wrote this. In fact he almost turned it down. Given that very confession, Lyons delivers a very enthralling story. This deals with an infiltration employed by Ba'al and pretty good and very surprising when and how the infiltrator gets revealed here. A very good story to wrap up this trilogy which provided a well told narrative about Ba'al.

Excision: Excision is the antepenultimate episode of the third and final Stargate Big Finish season and the first in a trilogy. Released in December 2012 and written by Peter J. Evans. Set sometime in season 10. Daniel and Vala went to visit Vala's friend Keto but turns into an abduction for them. Along the way they encounter a certain enemy from the TV series as well as helped from certain allies. Enjoyable start to this trilogy which marked Stargate's end on Big Finish.
