The second story from the first season.
Having seen writer Phil Ford's work on the new Captain Scarlet I am glad he has been given something to do in the Whoniverse.
Although Ford's plotting of the story using the Gorgon legend as a central plot point is fine, it did however feel slow at times. Thankfully this has been made up by the very good cliffhanger.
The conclusion to the main storyline in Part 2 was adequate and quite a nice way that closure (sort of) was given for Mrs Bea Stanley-Nelson.

Read in DWM's Sarah Jane Smith issue that despite the reference to the Sontarans, Phil Ford actually had no idea that the Sontarans were coming back to Doctor Who very soon when he wrote Bea's dialogue but it certainly fitted well with The Sontaran Strategem/The Poison Sky.

I actually thought the Sontaran reference in this episode was a bit random and didn't fit at all.
What exactly do you mean by Bea's Dialogue "fitted well with The Sontaran Stratagem / The Poison Sky?"

What exactly do you mean by Bea's Dialogue "fitted well with The Sontaran Stratagem / The Poison Sky?" It is what Andrew Pixley wrote. I think what he meant was that we got hear the Sontarans being mentioned before seeing them again back on Doctor Who.
