Prologue:
"Rich, are you absolutely sure about this?" asked a nervous voice. "Oh come one Eric, it will work!" assured Rich. It was a very dark night in Titansgreen, the moon was out and smoke floated gently out of the chimneys of houses. The two boys made their way across the empty road carrying rucksacks. They got to the other side and broke into the abandoned property that was there. They got inside and found the cellar door. They went down the rickety steps with anxiety written all over their faces. At the bottom of the stairs the room was empty. The only light came from their torches, which they placed on the floor along with their rucksacks. They opened the bags and rummaged around inside, unaware of the energy field growing behind them, taking form slowly but surely. There was a humming. The boys got up and looked at each other, then behind. Outside the mansion two screams could be heard along with the flashing of a white light. No one ever saw them again...

Chapter One:
The Doctor was making a pot of tea in the TARDIS kitchen and was humming to himself. He poured in the hot water and put in the tea bag. He then put the pot on a tray along with a cup & saucer and a jug of milk and carried it off to the main control room. He placed the tray on a conviently located table, poured a cup, sipped it and then commented: "Ah! Done to perfection if I might say so myself!" with that hint of self admiration. He sat down and drank the rest in three short gulps. He put the cup down onto the table and thought to himself, as the central column went up and down periodically.
The Doctor was still getting over the fact he had to leave Sarah back on Earth and as he mused to himself the TARDIS controls started to make a noise. "Oh what now!" he said a little bit irritated. He walked over to the consol when suddenly the TARDIS made the familiar materialisation sound. "Ah, we're landing" he muttered to himself. The TARDIS materialised at a street corner early in the morning. Inside the Doctor checked the location and date: "England. 23/09/1995". He then fetched his hat from the hatstand and walked outside, oversized scarf and all. As he got outside the Doctor stopped and took a big sniff. "The wonders of Country air!" he complimented. Then the Doctor started walking through the village.
Elsewhere in the village at a posh mansion, a man dressed in a business suit and wearing a bowler hat walks up to the door. As he arrives there he is greated by the Butler. "Ah good morning sir! Did you have a pleasent business trip?" the Butler asked. "Hmm, yes Alfred! I did indeed!" replied the man before he went inside. The Butler looked around and then went back inside and shut the doors.
Back inside the house the the Butler went up to a phone, picked up the reciever, dialed in a number, waited and as he got a reply he said: "Ah, yes, thank you. Can you please tell the house keeper that Mr Robertson is back? Good! Thank you!" Then he put the receiver down and walked off.
In a study in the house Mr Robertson was sitting at his desk sorting out pieces of paperwork, scribbling notes down in various places. It was just then he spotted a letter. He picked up the letter, opened it and read it through thouroughly. As he read his face no longer showed indifference but shock verging on rage. He put it down and said: "Right, this is War!" He then got out of his seat and entered the neigbouring room, closing the door behind him, whilst outside two pairs of eyes were watching through the giant window in the room whilst hiding behind the bushes.
"Good! He's gone!" said one of the men. "So, we go in?" replied the other. "Yes we do!" answered the first. So they both got up from behind the shrubbery and the first man produce a pistol. He aimed it upwards and fired. Out of the gun barrel was a grappling hook, it flew upwards and attached itself to the window sil. The first man started to climb up it, he was followed shortly by the second man. After a couple of minutes they reached the top where the second man took out a glass cutter and started to make his way into the study...
"Is that all sir?" asked a female bookshop owner to the Doctor as he plopped a pile of big books onto the counter. "Yes. Yes it is," replied the Doctor and from a small bag he produced the necessary money to pay for the items. The shopkeeper then placed the books into a bag and handed the Doctor the books and he went strolling out. The Doctor kept walking until he reached the local park, sat on a bench and took out one of the books to read. He sat there quietly for a few minutes when a police officer approached him and tapped him on the shoulder. The Doctor looked up and said: "Ah yes constable, what can I do for you?" The constable coughed and then said: "Excuse me sir, I am enquiring about the dissapearance of several people in this village recently and I was wondering if you could help me and the Titansgreen constabulary?" The Doctor replied: "Oh I'm so sorry I can't. I was just passing through you see and haven't yet bothered to pick up a local newspaper!" "Never mind sir, have a nice day!" said the policeman. "I will!" answered the Doctor and the policeman walked off. The Doctor continued to read his book and then a thought struck him: "Missing people, how interesting I must look into this!"
The two spies had already hacked into Mr Robertson's computer and were downloading files onto a floppy disc. "Right! Nearly done!" said one spy enthusiastically. "Good!" responded the other one, who was in a bit of a hurry. The second spy, who was on the computer had finished. He removed the disc, switched off the computer and with the other one began too make his was out of the study. "Ok! We must do this one QUIETLY!" whispered the first spy. "Understood!" acknowledged the other one. So they carefully climbed down the rope and looked around for any observers. Suddenly the first spy caught his leg on something and it came down with a loud crash. "FOOL!" thought the spy to himself.
Inside the house the butler heard the crash and he then made his way to the scene of the crime...

Chapter Two:
The Doctor takes the books back to the TARDIS. Under his right arm is a newspaper with the headline: "TWO MORE RESIDENTS GO MISSING. POLICE STILL INVESTIGATING." He wanders into the TARDIS library, thinking about the missing people as he puts the books on a shelf and the paper on a coffee table. He stops then says: "Ah yes! The Time-Scanner!" He then walks out of the library, discarding his hat onto an armchair.
"Oh that was a stupid thing to do! Now hurry!" exclaimed the first spy as he and his accomplise hastily climb down the rope wire. The broken object was a hanging vase containing petunias. As the pair reach the bottom the butler is already three quaters of the way there. "Right! RUN!" shouted the second spy as the butler arrives and they run. The butler had just caught a clear glimpse of their faces and then he inspects the damage. The butler goes back inside and walks over to a rotary telephone, picks up the reciever, dials in a number, waits and when he gets a reply he said: "Ah yes, hello. Titansgreen police I assume?..."
In the TARDIS the Doctor is inside the control room. He flicks a few switches and on one wall a viewscreen appears along with a control panel. "Ah! Let's see now!" and he walks over to the panel. The Doctor then fiddles with the controls and as he does the screen lights up as he watches.
"Phew! Hey David we're nearly there!" commented the second spy relieved. "Agreed John. I just hope we lost them," David replied. The two then walked into a large villa style house where inside they were greeted by and elderly gent. "So you two, what have you bought back with you?" he asked. "This!" answered John as he held up a floppy disc. "Good. Now I just hope this enables us to find out what our dear friend Simon Robertson is up to. Now I want the pair of you to accompany me to the cellar where we shall check this. I just hope you didn't get spotted," said the gent. "I don't think so," said David. But unknown to them they were...
"Yes that's right sir, David and John McAllister sir. I spotted them running from the grounds and I've contacted the police," the butler explained to Mr Robertson. "Thank you Alfred. I see dear old Ringo has sent along his two stooges to spy on me. They won't get far. You may go now," said Mr Robertson. "Thank you sir," replied Alfred, who then left the room. Once Alfred had left Mr Robertson turned to the mirror near him and stared in it. "Oh what to do?" he quoted.
Elsewhere in another large but old house someone was up to some insidious activities in an upstairs laboratory. Inside the lab was a tall thin man wearing a white coat and he was currently sitting next to a piece of strange machinery. He presses a small button and a multi-coloured screen lights up. The scientist speaks: "Ready to receive you master," he says in a dry, icy tone. There's a reply in a morbid and somewhat dry and impressive tone: "Good Mr Evans, now listen to me carefully..."

Chapter Three:
"Oh great! Just great! I don't know why I ever installed it!" the Doctor complained as he tried to get the Time Scanner to work, unsuccessfully. After a couple of more minutes of trying to get the equipment to work, the Doctor conceded and decided to just read the newspaper article more thoroughly and make his own observations. The Doctor walked back into the library, picked up the newspaper, sat on the chair and started to read. "Right!" he began, "Let's see. In Titansgreen two nights ago two teenage boys went missing. The local police began investigating when..." and so on.
"Sergeant, could you just pass me that report over there?" asked the local Chief Detective Inspector, who was flicking through a pile of paper work. "Here sir!" replied the Sergeant as he passed over the document and then went away. "Thank you," said the Inspector, "Now, the missing boys. Hmm, uh-hmm, I see," and he muttered away as he read the report. The Inspector sat up and took a sip of coffee when suddenly something just occurred to him. "Wait a minute, ahem. Constable!" "Yes guv'?" "Ah yes. You know those two missing boys?" "Not personally guv', but I know of them." "Where were they last seen?" "In the old abandoned mansion!" boomed the Doctor's voice. "Pardon?" said the Inspector, surprised. "They were last seen near the old abandoned mansion in the middle of the village square. I asked some residents on my way here oh yes by the way I'm the Doctor and I thought I could help you investigate!" the Doctor explained. "I see, errrmm, so you say you want to help us in our investigations?" acknowledged the Inspector. "That's right!" said the Doctor. "Well, I don't know if the Chief Constable's going to like it but I accept! So, Doctor, tell me what you know..." the Inspector replied. "First, err, what's your name?" began the Doctor. "Chief Detective Inspector Don Farrier," answered the Inspector. "Well Inspector, I thought we could scour around the old mansion first to pick up any potential clues, that's of course assuming you haven't already done so," suggested the Doctor. "No Doctor, we haven't," explained Farrier. "Well then Inspector, let's do it!" said the Doctor. "First, we'll have to obtain permission from the council, but yes, we'll do it!" agreed Farrier. "Marvellous!" rejoiced the Doctor.
"Interesting information boys!" commented the elderly gent to David and John as they examined the data on the computer disc down in the basement of the villa. "It contains all of his business dealings and financial records," explained John. "Really? You don't say. Any suitable blackmail material in here?" asked the gent. "Oh, dunno, haven't checked it through properly," answered David. "Wait a minute, I just saw something here," said the gent. "What is it?" asked John. "This man obviously likes to remind himself of his past," began the gent, "it says here that Simon Robertson has..." "Has what?" asked John. "A criminal record!" replied the gent. "Ooh! Solid gold!" said David excitedly. "Heh heh heh heh heh!" chuckled the old man as he studied the disc on the computer along with John and David.
"I'm telling you officer they broke into my house and swiped the data from my computer!" explained Mr Robertson to the police. "Really sir? You do know it is a bit difficult for me to believe you due to you know what do you understand?" replied the constable. "Oh that! Why should you hold one little incident of perjury against me?" asked Mr Robertson. "If you'll excuse me sir, an incident of lying in court is not little! It is a serious offence!" the constable explained. "Understood, ahem. But you will investigate though?" inquired Mr Robertson. "We can't promise anything sir, but we'll do our best. Good day sir and just don't get yourself into trouble!" answered the constable. "Bye constable!" said a rather irate Mr Robertson, "Alfred!" As he called Alfred the butler came jogging down the stairs and then stopped by his master's side. "You called for me sir?" he asked. "Ah yes my dear Alfred, I did indeed!" Mr Robertson answered. "So, what would you like me to do sir?" "Alfred, I would like you to inform the other staff members that if you or they spot Ringo McAllister or his acolytes on the grounds, I want them caught, locked into a store and the police informed is that understood?" "Yes sir!" "Good!" Then the two walked in seperated directions each.
"That is understood my lord!" replied Mr Evans to the machine in his lab. "Good!" said the voice, "Now remember, if any human attempts to interfere in my plans, eliminate them!" "Yes my lord!" answered Mr Evans. "Oh and one more thing, make sure the old mansion has been booby-trapped properly, we can not have the police find out what is going on. If they do they'll contact the Earth military and we are still not ready to face them, at the moment that is. When we are ready they can fight us all they like and we'll still win! Understood?" explained the voice. "Already done so my lord. They were tested on a pair of nosy teenage boys. They did not survive," assured Mr Evans. "EXCELLENT!" said the voice.
"Ah Doctor!" said Farrier, "I've contacted the local council and they've said yes. Oh and another thing I've told the Chief Constable and he has agreed to your help. We're a bit understaffed you see." "Good Inspector, shall we go now?" acknowledged the Doctor. "Yes, the inspection team is waiting outside," replied Farrier. "Right! Let's go!" said a rather enthusiastic Doctor.
Ten minutes later the team, Farrier and the Doctor arrived at the old mansion. They stepped out of the van and went inside the house. In the front hall it was all dusty and dilapidated. As everyone went inside they all donned hard protective hats. "Boy! It looks like this place could collapse at any time!" Farrier quipped. "Oh I shouldn't think so! Examining these support beams this place with stand up for at least another 100 years or so!" reassured the Doctor. Suddenly one of the team popped up from the cellar hatch and called out: "Hey! Inspector! I've found something!" "What is it Baines?" asked Farrier and he and the Doctor ran to the hatch and went down the steps. "It's two rucksacks sir," explained Baines. "Looking around the place there're no corpses, unless their hidden," postulated the Doctor. "I have a very bad feeling about this Doctor!" said Farrier. "Well I'm not too confident about it myself Inspector, but I take it as it comes," the Doctor replied.
The search team looked around the old house for every bit of evidence they could find whilst in the cellar, as the Doctor and farrier were having a disscussion, the wall behind them began to glow a multitude of colours. It then began to hum. The Doctor and Farrier still didn't notice. The humming intensified. "Can you hear something Doctor?" asked Farrier. "No, not really," the Doctor answered. As the humming intensified so did the glowing, which is when the Doctor noticed. "Inspector..." he said. "Yes Doctor?" said the Inspector as he turned round when suddenly the glowing intensified to a nearly blind level when Farrier called out: "What the?... OH MY GOD IT'S..."

Chapter Four:
As the Doctor and Farrier stood by and watched the bright light intensify, a figure appeared out of the glare. The figure was bright and non-corporeal but its features were distinguishibly humanoid, it had pale skin and flowing and short black hair. The entity spoke in an icy tone: "You two humans," it paused, "identify yourselves!" "Wait a minute! I'm not human!" protested the Doctor. "You look it," said the entity. "Ah well looks can be deceiving!" explained the Doctor. "You, the errm, thing, who or what are you?" asked Farrier to the entity. The entity looked upon him, took a breath, then spoke: "I, human, am one of the Sereneme, an all powerful, all superior race of deities from what you'd call the Andromeda Galaxy. I say what is your business here?" "Were investigating the dissapearance of two teenage boys who apparently wondered into here," Farrier explained. "Well human, you need not look. They were killed by a booby trap laid here on the orders of another member of my race, a renegade who calls himself 'the Patrician'. He was tracked here to this planet where we then finally lost him. We assume he's still around here, somewhere," advised the Sereneme. "I see," began the Doctor, "so could you help us?" "I'm afraid not, it is against my code to interfere in the affairs of less advanced societies, sorry," apologised the Sereneme. "You know you remind me of my own people you do, all these powers, Time travel and what do they do but sit around watching things happen," said the Doctor. "I know the sort, Time Lords," said the Sereneme. "Yes! How did you know?" asked the Doctor. "I'm sorry, I must go. My advice is to call your local military for assitance. The Patricians powers are still limited so you'll be able to defeat him. Furthermore I've removed all the traps in this house, which were guarding this portal, so you'll be able to leave safely. From this moment on you're on your own!" said the Sereneme hurriedly before he dissapeared. "Right, what do we do know?" asked Farrier.
Meanwhile in the Robertsons' household things were quiet. Everyone except the house staff were in the drawing room sitting quietly. Lying face down on the floor was a teenage girl of around 15 going on 16. She sat there depressed, then she sighed. "Cassandra," began Mr Robertson who was in an armchair reading 'The Times' newspaper, "I hope you're not in a strop just because I won't let you see that McAllister lad from two miles down the road." "Dad, his name is Peter and he actually lives three miles down the road, ok!" complained Cassandra, "Anyway, why won't you let me see him?" "That, I am never going to tell you but it is deeply personal," replied Mr Robertson. Cassandra glared at him.
Back at the police station Farrier and the Doctor were talking inside Farrier's office. "Ok, let me get this straight Doctor!" the Inspector began, "THAT thing we saw in the basement of the old manor was an alien being?" "Yes," replied the Doctor. "And also, I heard you say that you're not even human yourself?!?! What does all this mean?" Farrier continued. "This means, Inspector, the Earth is currently at the beginning of an invasion. Meanwhile as for me you're right I'm not human oh by the way can I use your phone?" explained the Doctor. "Oh, sure!" Farrier replied. "Thank you!" said the Doctor. The Doctor picked up the receiver and dialed in a number. He then waited as a dial tone rang then someone answered. "Ah Hello," said the Doctor, "Is this UNIT HQ or have I got a wrong number?" The voice on the other end said yes and then the Doctor continued: "Yes, can you get me the Brigadier please?" The voice said: "Sure, who is this speaking?" "This is, erm, this is the Doctor speaking!"
"Peter!" began the elderly gent, "Where are you going?" At the doorway was a teenage boy of around 17 years of age. Under his arm was a pink box with a red ribbon tied round it. He replied: "I'm just going to see Cassandra, that's all." "Right, just don't get caught by old Simon Robertson. I have nothing against the girl but he'll have plenty against you. Remember he and your father, Ringo, are not the best of friends and I'm not exactly keen on him either, ok?" said the gent. "Yes grandad," replied Peter as he went out of the door. Once Peter had left out of the closet came John and David. "What now sir?" asked John. "We try and end this once and for all," began the gent, "tonight we hack into Ringo's computer and get hold of as much info as we can get. Then, we strike them both down!"
Meanwhile at UNIT the corpral who was speaking to the Doctor on the phone put down te receiver. He then got up and picked up a piece of paper on which he was taking down notes of the conversation. He left his office and began walking down the corridor. He kept on going until he reached a door with a frosted glass window, where on it was written "Brigadier Nigel DeClarien". The corpral then knocked on the door then waited. After two seconds a deep voice said: "Enter!" The corpral entered the office where the Brigadier was filing away reports. He looked up and said: "Ah, Corpral Williams! What can I do for you then?" in a pleasent tone. "Ah sir, I'd just received a phone call from a seemingly well informed individual. He wanted to report some unusual but yet dangerous activity in the village of Titansgreen..." began Corpral Williams. "Well that's what we're here for!" said the Brigadier. "Well sir, I had taken down the conversation and here it is. The indivdual in question was a doctor," continued the corpral and he passed over the notes the Brigadier. "Eh, Doctor Who?" asked the Brigadier. "No, just 'The Doctor' s what he said. He claimed to have known your predecessor, well one of them," explained the corpral. "I see, dismissed," said the Brigadier. Corpral Williams then left the room in an orderly fashion. After the corpral left the Brigadier reached for the intercom, pressed a red button. A female voice replied and then the Brigadier spoke: "Ah Petra! I was wondering if you could contact one of my predecessors. Yes. A Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart. Yes and I'd like him to be queried on an individual known as 'The Doctor'..."
In the police station things were quiet. The Doctor had just finished making some notes when Farrier asked him a question: "Doctor, I just want to ask you, what is UNIT?" "UNIT?" began the Doctor, "My dear Inspector UNIT stands for the United Nations Intelligence Taskforce. It was set up in 1968 to combat alien threats and its first assignment was against a bunch of cybernetic-organisms called the Cybermen. Then from 1970 to 1974 I assited them in many things and then I left. I did return once in 1975 and that was that." he explained. "I see, so after an absense of about 20 years you're coming back?" Farrier inquired. "Just this once," replied the Doctor. "Doctor, how old were you when you first assited them?" asked Farrier. "Oh, about 650 years old," said the Doctor. Farrier sat there, surprised. "Well, I told you I'm an alien," quipped the Doctor.

Chapter Five:
"Cassandra! Cassandra!" whispered Peter as he stood underneath the balcony of the Robertson household. Cassandra was in the meantime at her makeup table brushing her hair when she heard Peter McAllister calling out for her. She put the brush down, headed on to the balcony where she found Peter standing underneath. "I'll be right back!" she said encouragingly. Peter waited. She came back with a good few meters of rope. She tied it onto the balcony and tossed it down. Peter then climbed up it. When he got to the top Cassandra then told him: "Remember, we must keep this quiet. If my father finds out he'll call the police to have you arrested whilst I get moved up into a higher room!" "Understood!" acknowledged Peter and they both went inside.
In the police station things were busy. In the main office the Doctor and Farrier walked in chatting over various topics. Then a constable went up to the Doctor and said: "Excuse me Doctor but there's a phone call for you." "Oh? Thank you constable," the Doctor replied. The Doctor took the receiver and spoke into it. "Hello, this is the Doctor speaking!" he said. "Ah Doctor!" said Brigadier DeClarien, who was at the other end of the phone line, "I believe you contacted us at UNIT earlier, well I don't know much about you so I've had to contact one of my predecessors you understand?" "Of course!" the Doctor replied. "Good, I'll pass him on to you!" said DeClarien. Then another voice could be heard on the phone, a voice familiar to the Doctor. "Hello, this is the Doctor I presume?" it asked. "Well, err, yes!" answered the Doctor, "Wait a minute! Aren't you...?" "Yes, THE Brigadier. Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart. The very one you met during the Yeti business," he replied. "Of course!" said the Doctor. The conversation then continued.
Elsewhere, Mr Evans was in his laboratory. He was altering a robot's head carefully when all of a sudden a flash appeared and a Sereneme entered the room. "Mr Evans!" it called out in a cold and icy tone. Mr Evans put his tools down and turned around. "Ah, what is you you want my lord?" he asked. "His highness the Patrician has ordered me to inspect your work on the robots," the Sereneme explained. "Understood," replied Mr Evans, "I've made good progress with the prototypes and I am confident that manufacturing should be able to begin tomorrow." "Good, but not good enough," commented the Sereneme harshly, "the Patrician wants them by midnight, tonight!" "Of course. But of I'm rushed there'll be too many imperfections and the robots might not work properly. I'll need to scour through the mechanics and run a debug on their programming, and it all takes time!" informed Mr Evans. "I know, that's why I ave been told to help you speed up the process too. We've just found a way of infiltrating computer systems, so you deal with the mechanics whilst I deal with the programming," assured the Sereneme. "Well, we'd better get started then," said Mr Evans.
Peter and Cassandra had been socialising for quite some time. They were just talking quietly when suddenly a grandfather clock chimed 10 o'Clock in the hallway outside. "Peter! You'd better go, now!" said Cassandra, "You know my father always comes into my room to inspect at this time!' she whispered. "Right!" acknowledged Peter and he quickly got up. Peter lept to the balcony and then climbed over the railings and began going down the rope. "Hurry!" said Cassandra nervously. Outside Mr Robertson was making his way to Cassandra's room. Meanwhile Peter had got down and then began making his way out off the grounds whilst Cassandra untied the rope at the top of the balcony. The door handle turned. She managed to bung the rope into a cabinet, get onto her bed and picked up a magazine... just in time.
Mr Robertson poked his head round the door and looked at Cassandra. "Not doing anything suspicious I hope?" he asked. "No," replied Cassandra. "Good!" said Mr Robertson, and then he went out of the room. As he stood outside the door he thought to himself: The bay doors and curtains are open. She's had that McAllister lad round again! He then made his way off to somewhere else.
Peter, althought out of site, was still running back home. As he ran he bumped into Farrier and the Doctor, who had left the police station. "Sorry sirs!" he apologised and then ran off again. "He's in a hurry!" commented the Doctor. "That's Peter McAllister!" Farrier said, "He's been seeing Cassandra Robertson again. You see the two families have been feuding for quite some time, a classic case of 'Romeo and Juliet' if you ask me!" "Yes I see," the Doctor acknowledged. The two then carried on walking again.

Chapter Six:
The Doctor and Farrier finally arrived at Farrier's house. They went inside and settled down. "Nice little place this," remarked the Doctor. "Not all police officers are poorly paid Doctor!" Farrier replied. "Of course not," said the Doctor. "Tea?" asked Farrier. "Yes please," answered the Doctor. Farrier went off into the kitchen and started preparing a pot of tea. The Doctor in the meantime went off into the living room, picked a book from the shelf, sat down and began reading it.
7 Minutes later Farrier came into the room with a tray and two cups of tea. "Tea Doctor," he announced. "Ah! Tea! Thank you!" the Doctor replied and he took a cup from the tray. Farrier put his cup on a near by table, took the tray back into the kitchen and came back in. He then sat down on an armchair next to the sofa the Doctor was sitting on. "So Inspector, tell me about the feud between the Robertsons and the McAllisters," said the Doctor. "Well, where do I start?" asked Farrier. "From the Beginning..." said the Doctor. "Alright," began Farrier, "It's like this, Ringo McAllister and Simon Robertson were once best of friends. However something happened when they were both teenagers. Simon shoplifted a bunch of items from a shop and then gave the stolen goods to Ringo. When the police came it looked like Ringo had stolen them. When it came to the hearing at the local Magistrates' Court Ringo had managed to convince another one of Simon's friends, who was an eyewitness, to speak in Ringos defence. Simon said that he tried to stop Ringo but when it came to the witness statement and surprise camera footage, Ringo was accuitted whilst Simon was convicted of perjury. From that moment on they were at each other's throats." "Yes, I know what that's like," commented the Doctor.
At the laboratory work concluded. The Sereneme agent left the computer just as Mr Evans had finished building the final prototype. The agent inspected the automaton, then turned round to its creator. "Good Mr Evans, now the units are ready for manufacturing. The production line begins at dawn. You may now rest," is commented in its icy tone of voice. "Thank you," replied Mr Evans. The being then left the room. "I have got to escape them! But how?" said Mr Evans worriedly.
The next day the Doctor and Farrier went back to the police station. Upon arrival the Doctor was notified of that someone tried to contact him and that they'd left their number. The Doctor went over to the phone and waited. When he got an answer it was Brigadier DeClarien, who wanted to fix a rendeavouz point. "Well Brigadier," began the Doctor, "I suggest we meet up at roughly 5 miles down south of the village with the Mobile HQ," he suggested. "Right Doctor," DeClarien responded, "We meet there at say, 1200 hours today?" "Yes, why not!" agreed the Doctor. "Good," DeClarien replied. "Bye!" said the Doctor and he put the phone down. He then turned round to Farrier and asked: "Inspector, have you ever been to Titansgreen Heath?" "No, not really," answered Farrier. "Well you will do now!" said the Doctor, grinning.
At the McAllister villa a man was walking up the garden path to the driveway. As he did so he was muttering and cursing: "Mumble... go to work on a Sunday! Simon.... grrr!" From the kitchen was the man's father and Peter. "Oh I just hope Ringo doesn't get himself into trouble with that Robertson fellow or only god knows," he said worriedly. "Why do they both fight?" Peter asked. "I'll tell you later," replied the gent. The car then left the driveway for the road and went on its way. Peter then exited the room. The gent, cautious, looked around the place and confident the room was empty, he went over to the pantry door and opened it. "Alright you two, with me!" he said to David and John, who were finishing off the chocolate syrup and the biscuits.
After a brief trip the gent and his two acolytes arrived inside a chamber underneath the kitchen. The gent walked over to the computer and logged on. "So boss, what do you want us to do?" asked David. "Watch," began the gent, "Watch as I show you a miracale called 'The Internet'!" he explained in a sinister tone.
Meanwhile it was a totally different story as to what was going on at the Robertson household. "Seen any of them yet Alfred?" Mr Robertson asked the Butler. "No sir," replied Alfred. "Good," acknowledged Mr Robertson, "Carry on!" "Yes sir," Alfred responded and he went off elsewhere. However, as Alfred went, Simon remained still, in deep thought. As he pondered he looked around cautiously and then started walking again to a new destination.
"Well Doctor, it's 12 o'clock now and I still have no idea where your UNIT friends have gone!" said Farrier irritably as the wind blew him. "Calm yourself Inspector, they'll be here!" assured the Doctor as he clinged onto his hat, his scarf meanwhile blowing around all over the place. "Wait, somethings' coming!" noted Farrier. The Doctor agreed, "Yes, of course, it them!" "Right," Farrier began, "What do we do?" "Be patient," suggested the Doctor. "Oh!"

Chapter Seven:
"Right, you get this over to the factory and the people there will do the rest," informed Mr Evans as he was speaking to a lorry driver. "Sure thing sir!" replied the driver, who then went on his way. Mr Evans looked at the lorry departing and then turned round and went back into the house. He walked quietly upstairs into the attic, where he was greeted by a Sereneme, who then stuck its hand out and grabbed hold if Mr Evans, who gasped. "You've been plotting against our lord," accused the Sereneme. "I don't know what you mean!" said Mr Evans, gasping for a breath. "He can read your thoughts Mr Evans, you've been trying to break free from his influence. I can't let that happen," the Sereneme told Mr Evans. "What you going to do about it?" said Mr Evans grinning. "We have our ways," said the Sereneme, who's eyes went a shade of red. Outside the house Mr Evans could be heard screaming.
An army truck pulled up to the Doctor and Farrier. A head stuck out of the window as the vehicle stopped, it was that of Brigadier DeClarien. "You're late!" said the Doctor. "Got stuck in traffic!" responded DeClarien. "That's no excuse!" said the Doctor. "Ok, so what's going on?" DeClarien asked. "I've just encountered an alien intelligence who's just tipped me off about the early stages of an invasion attempt on this planet. Now like all invaders we must assume these ones are armed and hostile, however we must still investigate so that's partially why I called you gentlemen up, despite your insistance on blowing up everything you see," explained the Doctor. "Understood, where do we set up base?" asked DeClarien. "Oh sort that one out yourself!" answered the Doctor.
Elsewhere, at the Robertson household, arguing could be heard from one of the rooms. It was Cassandra and her father arguing. "No! I will not stop seeing him!" she shouted out. "Grr, Well I'm not bothering anymore! See him all you like but when you leave home don't expect any help from me!" responded Mr Robertson as he left his daughter's room, "Oh I don't know!" he said. Cassandra in the meantime climbed down from her balcony with some rope and then made her way out of the grounds of the house. She looked around anxiously before going off again, confident she wasn't spotted; however she was seen by the butler, who looked down from a top window with a suspiciously mischevious look on his face. Cassandra in the meantime made her way down the road.
"You've got that order? Good, I'll speak to you later," said Ringo McAllister on the phone, who then put down the receiver. Ringo was filing away some paperwork in his office at a 'World Robotics' plant somewhere in Surrey [Note: World Robotics is a fictional company. Any similarities with any real corporation is completely coincidental and unitentional.]. The lorry that was carrying Mr Evans's robotic prototype was parked outside one of the loading bays, the driver inside the cab smoking and reading a local newspaper. An attendant walked up to the lorry and then knocked on the window to get the lorry driver's attention. "Oh, eh. Yes sir, what do you want?" asked the driver. "Has someone seen to you yet?" inquired the attendant. "Erm, yes," replied the driver.
Inside the warehouse containing the crate Security Guard was patrolling the aisles. There were no windows letting light into the building so he had to use a tourch to see. He carried on walking around, made a pass at the prototype crate and moved on. A few minutes later the guard left the room and as he did something moved inside the crate. It rattled and suddenly an arm burst out of one of the wooden panels...
"So Brigadier, where have you arranged for you and your men to stay?" asked the Doctor. "In the the village hall," replied DeClarien, "I arranged for it not long after you and my predecessor concluded your conversation over the phone." "I see. Anyway, speaking of your predecessor, where is he?" acknowledged the Doctor. "Oh, he's on his way," said DeClarien, "in the meantime, let's get moving!" So, the Doctor, Farrier and the UNIT soldiers went off into the village to set up a temporary base, where the Doctor would provide more information as to what was going on.
"So Brigadier, there you have it!" said the Doctor as he finished briefing Brigadier DeClarien. "Right! So, you were tipped off by an alien of the same race as who we're dealing with?" inquired the officer. "Correct!" answered the Doctor, "Also he must have telepathically transferred some information into my mind to give me a better idea. Anyway from my reckoning we have 72 hours, or less!" DeClarien looked on slighthly worried as the transport sped on.
Meanwhile at the World Robotics plant a stock control clerk was taking note of the newly received goods. Outside the lorry driver and the intendant were still talking. The clerk was taking notes one the goods, unaware that he was being followed by the prototype robot, seen by the android's sinister blue eyes. As the clerk moved around the warehouse the robot targeted him on its readout. However the robot was transmitting to another point in space where, viewing a screen and seeing what the robot saw, was a bright luminous figure flanked on one side by Mr Evans. "Now look here Mr Evans, your droid is currently running on remote control but soon it shall be able to learn by itself. All that is needed is a human mind which to extract and then build a template upon!" chuckled the being. "Yes My Lord," acknowledged Mr Evans, who had just been reconditioned. "Good. Soon, we'll have an army of these in which to enslave this little ball of rock with. Soon, every inhabitant of this planet will bow down to me. And soon, I shall be able to take my revenge on the Sereneme high council; I'll show them that the post of Council Patrician is NOT redundant! Anyway, look!" it continued. The robot advanced in the unwary clerk. The clerk walked up to the robot crate, only to find its sole inhabitant gone. He turned round and saw the robot with its arms streched out. The clerk tried to shout for help but the robot grabbed him and with a flash of red electrical energy, he was dead- his mind now in the robot. The Patrictian saw this and he said: "Now, learn! Conquer, destroy!" and he laughed to himself manically as the robot assimilated all the information...

Chapter Eight:
"Right Doctor, here we are!" declared Brigadier DeClarien, just he, the Doctor and the UNIT squad arrived at their destination- the village hall. "Hmph, just as efficient as his predecessor!" muttered the Doctor. All around the soldiers set up equipment and bunks in the big and the Doctor was just about to walk out when he caught Farrier's eye. "Where do you think you're going?" he asked. "To, to my transport," answered the Doctor. "What, you're not leaving already?!?!" said Farrier, who was slightly worried. "Oh no, just getting something," assured the Doctor. "Need any help?" inquired Farrier. "No thank you," said the Doctor and he walked out leaving Farrier wondering what to do. That was soon stopped when an austere looking Corpral got him to issue out envelopes to everyone else.
Cassandra and Peter had been socialising for about an hour when they both realised the time. "Peter, I've got to get back home soon or otherwise my Father will I've gone!" said Cassandra. Peter looked on, then acknowledged the premise he was in. "Alright, but you better leave through the back, if any of my family see you..." warned Peter. "I know! I've got to go, bye!" said Cassandra and they both kissed each other on the cheek and then she left. "Goodbye," said Peter as he watched Cassandra go.
Cassandra made her way back home, watching all around her as she ran. She soon made it to the grounds of her house and she then climbed up the ivy covered wall to her room. She finally got to the top and climbed onto the balcony, went through the double doors into her room, through the curtains and... "...AND WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'VE BEEN GOING YOUNG MADAM?" It was her Father, Mr Robertson. He was accompanied by Alfred the Butler. "Father, but..." "You've been sneaking out of the house! Now missy, I don't like you sneaking out of the house for these reasons: First, you do it to see that McAllister lad; Second what if something happened and I didn't know where you were? You're in serious trouble Cassandra, you are now moving to a different room where you can't sneak out and this one is being locked!" lectured Mr Robertson. "NO!" protested Cassandra.
The argument however, was being watched by the Patrician who looked on in amusment and intrigue. "So Mr Evans, who are they again?" he asked. "Well my Lord, the middle-aged man is called Mr Robertson- he's the Father of the girl. The older man is the other's chief servant, a butler," explained Mr Evans. "I see, what's the girl called?" inquired the Patrician. "She's called Cassandra. She's seeing a juvenile male whom her Father doesn't want her to," continued Mr Evans. "Hmm, now let's see if I can't make this work to my advantage shall we?" said the Patrician with an opportunistic grin as he chuckled away to himself, plotting his next move...
The Doctor was in the TARDIS library. He was flicking throught a particular red-bound book. It was written in Gallifreyan Text and the Doctor was hastily flicking through the pages, muttering "Sereneme, Sereneme" in an impatient tone of voice. Suddenly, he spotted the page he was looking for and marked it. He then put the book in his pocket an then walked out into the consol room.
At the factory, the robot was creating hassle for staff and security alike. "Oh goodness! How did that THING get loose!?!?" and "Watch Out!" were the usual cries of hysteria. The robot, now in learn mode, was taking over some of the workers and had hijacked two production lines in the factory, infilitrating the computer systems and overriding them in the process. "If that ever gets onto the internet we're in deep trouble!" commented an onlooking security guard.
In his office, Ringo McAllister was getting numerous reports on the activities of the Sereneme android, and was dealing with them with equal tact as the callers. "Look here mate! I don't care how you stop that thing; JUST STOP IT!" was the usual response from him. He slumped into his chair and thought to himself. How was he going to deal with it all. Then, just as he had given up hope and man wearing green uniform burst in. "Just who the devil are YOU?" asked Ringo. "General Geoffries, UNIT!" said the soldier. Ringo looked on in annoyed shock.
Meanwhile, the Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart was making his way to the village of Titansgreen in a chauffer driven army truck. He was receiving numerous calls from HQ. "Look here! My man will sort it out, just give it time! Good Day!" he said as he dismissed one more call. Then he relaxed and said: "Phew! I'll be glad when we finally meet up with the Doctor again!" in a relieved tone of voice. "Yes sir," replied the Driver, disinterested. "Please show more enthusiasm for life Private!" said the Brigadier in response. "I'll try sir," answered the Driver. The Brigadier groaned.
In the Sereneme mothership, the Patrician was observing both the events at the robotics factory, and the activities of Cassandra Robertson. He was sitting there, grinning to himself when a subordinate sereneme entered the throne room. "You requested my presense my lord?" it inquired. The Patrician turned around and replied: "Ah yes. Look on the left viewscreen, there you will see a juvenile human female," he pointed. The other sereneme looked and acknowledged: "Yes." "Right, she currently is having a particular problem and I want you to go down there and strike an agreement with her. You'll be briefed just before you transmat down," explained the Patrician. "Yes my lord," replid the other sereneme. "Good, dismissed," said the Patrician. The other sereneme bowed down and left the chamber. Mr Evans, who was watching, turned round and asked the Patrician a question: "Ahem, if you don't mind my lord, but what is it you want from the young girl?" The Patrician looked down. "All in good time!" the Patrician replied whilst smiling knowingly.
In the meantime the other Sereneme appeared in Cassandra's new room (the attic). She was lying on her bed, sobbing. She suddenly sensed the Sereneme, turned around and saw it. The Sereneme signaled for her to not make too much noise. "Who are you?" she asked. "Help is who I am," replied the the Sereneme. "What do you want?" she continued. "Nothing, but I've noticed you've been having a few problems," the Sereneme answered. "No I haven't!" protested Cassandra. "My dear, it is of no use lying to me, I can sense a person's emotions and if they're telling the truth or not. Understood?" said the Sereneme. Cassandra nodded. "Right, so what's the problem?" the Sereneme inquired. "Well, there's this..." began Cassandra and the conversation continued.
In another location, the Robotics Factory, things were going pearshaped for the military. "So, why are you here?" asked Ringo to the General. "We were called in by your head of security. He was quite concerned so he first contacted the local military, who then went on to hand this to us, the United Nations Intelligence Taskforce," the General explained. "Who?" inquired Ringo. "Sir, you're asking too many questions!" began the General, "Ok, you see this in my hand?" "Yes." "Right, it's £18,500. If you agree to remain silent you can have it." "Sure." "Good. In anyone asks, say it's a pay-bonus." "Done." The two then split up, Ringo going back home. The General then turned round to his Lieutenant and asked: "The robot, its progress?" "You mean the ro-bots sir, they're multiplying. The original learnt how to operate the production lines," said the Lieutenant. "Good God..." said the General.
Just as said, the robot was indeed controlling the production lines on the factory floor. There, in the background and hidden away, two U.N.I.T troops looked on in horror. They watched as the robot manipulated the machinery and out poured various copies of itself. "When's it gonna stop?" asked on worried soldier. "When it runs out of materials," answered the other. "Ooh, that's VERY reassuring!" "Shh!" "Sorry!" As each robot poured of the conveyer belt, it came to life. The all arranged themselves neatly into rank and file. Suddenly the production of the robots stopped. "Must've ran out," commented the second soldier. As all the androids arranged themselves, the first one inspected them, observed and then stood there. "What's it doing?" asked the first soldier. "God knows!" replied the second. "Maybe it's relaying instructions?" "Probably!" "Look, they're moving again!" The androids turned around in unison, then they marched right through the wall. As they advanced, the soldiers outside attempted to stop them, but it was no use. The alien robots were immune to the effects of the bullets. "Now, where have I seen this before?" said one of the troops, obviously a veteran. Out of the robots hands came flaring out were huge powerful jolts of electricity. Each android grabbed a soldier and assimilated their minds, then they moved on. Realising his predicament, the General ordered the retreat and told his men to fight defensively, and yet where they could escape easily too. Meanwhile, the first android was busy making more robots on the factory floor. As it did the two soldiers made their escape and the android army increased in size...

Chapter Nine:
"...yes, yes, I understand. Ok, I'll get right back to you. Over and out!" Brigadier DeClarien was communicating over the radio when the Doctor came walking in. "Ah! Brigadier..." began the Doctor. "Doctor, I've just been informed over the radio by my superior that a crisis has just popped up at the World Robotics plant up north. Currently a robot prototype gained a mind of its own and began reproducing via the production lines. Now a robot army has taken over the entire factory..." interruptted DeClarien. "Well, hardly surprising Brigadier, when the Sereneme go to take over a planet they often deploy an army of robots to weaken the armed forces on the surface. I've just been reading up on it," the Doctor explained. "Robots!?!?!?" commented Farrier. "Yes, and I have a feeling we have less time than we thought. Soon the Sereneme will begin to use they're second invasion tactic!" replied the Doctor in a morbid tone.
"So, I e-mail them both with my demands, and they'll be like modelling clay in my hands!" said the gent to David and John. "Are you sure this's gonna work boss?" asked David. "Yes!" answered the Gent. "Right, so whatta we do now?" inquired John. "Wait!" said the Gent. The two henchmen looked at each other with blank expressions. "It's a wonder why I hired those two dunderheads!" said the gent rather dryly. "So, what are you doing again?" asked John absent mindedly. "Blackmail," replied the gent.
At the Robertson House, the Sereneme and Cassandra were still talking. "So, you agree?" the Sereneme asked. Cassandra looked at herself, unsure, then answered. "Yes." "Good. Now, if you want to see him, take this device in my hand, you just have to think of a location and press the button, you're there. Just remember it only works on the holder or anything he/she touches." Cassandra looked at the device. "What is it?" "It's a pocket Transmat." "A Transmat?" "Matter transmitter." "It is safe?" "Yes." Then the Sereneme dissapeared, leaving Cassandra to stare a the device in wonder.
Back on the Sereneme mothership, the agent arrived back in the throne room. "It is done my Lord, she is bound to use the device for sure," reported the agent. "Excellent, that and the androids, all is going to plan!" replied the Patrician, as he gazed above Mr Evans' now dead body, "However, as for him, dispose of the corpse!" Into the room came two service droids, who went and picked the cadaver up and carted it out of the room. The Patrician watched and chuckled to himself manically...
"So Doctor, what is this second invasion tactic?" asked Farrier. "The Sereneme are a powerful race, and part of their power involves the manipulation of emotions. The first tactic involves powerful robots to weaking the armed forces on a planet, when that happens the poplace are usually left feeling negative. This leaves them more suseptible to psychological manipulation," explained the Doctor, "their second wave of attack involves an individual who is experiencing emotional problems. What the Sereneme do is precipitate these emotions and harness them to inflict on a planet's population. That done the locals will be easier to control." "We're in big trouble!" said Farrier nervously. Just then a soldier announced that a Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart had arrived. The Brigadier walked in and was greeted by the Doctor who then said: "You're late!" "Got stuck in traffic!" "That's no excuse!" "Doctor, unlike you, I can NOT travel back and forth in time on a whim!" "Good Point!" "Time Travel!?!?" said Farrier. "You wouldn't understand," replied the Doctor.
"So boss, what've you done?" John asked the gent. "I've gained confidential information on both Ringo McAllister and Simon Robertson and I've e-mailed them both to stop arguing...or else!" the gent replied, giving a knowing smile to his subordinate. "What, no money?" said John. "None..." said the gent. Suddenly they heard the sound of a car moving up above. "Ringo, he's early!" commented the gent. Then, he turned round to David and John and said to them: "You two! Make yourselves scarce!" "Yes boss!" they replied in unison. The gent then made his way to the kitchen unnoticed, when Ringo came in a few seconds later. "You're early!" said the gent. "Had less to do than I thought," Ringo replied. "I see. Anyway what's that money?" "Err, pay bonus." "Right..." "Oh well, I'll be off upstairs again. Bye." Just as Ringo left the room, David and John popped their heads up from the trapdoor, only to be silently sent back down again by the gent. "Pay bonus, suspicious..." the gent muttered to himself.
"So, you can travel in time, right?" asked Farrier to the Doctor. "Correct," the Doctor replied. "Err, how?" Farrier inquired. "Oh, in a time machine," said the Doctor. "Ask a silly question!" said Farrier, "Brigadier..." "Which one?" DeClarien asked. "Your predecessor," replied Farrier. "Oh don't worry, I never understood it myself!" assured Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart. Then Farrier turned back round to the Doctor, who was examining the plumbing at the time, and tapped the Time Lord on the shoulder. "Yes Inspector, got a question?" acknowledged the Doctor. "Doctor, Sereneme invasion tactics?" queried Farrier. "Yes, before the Sereneme became a peaceful race they were a group of overzealous empire buldiers. Now they've turned away from war but a militant breakaway faction still exists. So, the renegades are attempting to reconquer the former territory of the late Sereneme Empire. It's amazing what information lies in the Panopticon Archives..." answered the Doctor. "Oh, I see," said Farrier. "Well actually you don't, anyway...Brigadier DeClarien," said the Doctor. "Yes?" answered DeClarien. "What was that you were saying about trouble at a warehouse involving rampant robots?" the Doctor inquired. "Well, currently they're multiplying and our weapons are useless against them." "As per usual. Have they left the factory grounds yet?" "Ooh, errm, not what I know of." "Then go and check!" "Of course!" DeClarien walked over to the other side of the room and picked up a radio. "This Delta-Alpha-Foxtrot-Tango calling Green Admiral, what is the current situation?" said DeClarien over the radio. Over in the corner the Doctor turned round to Farrier and said to him "Delta-Alpha-Foxtrot-Tango: DAFT. Says it all really!"
Meanwhile, over at the factory General Geoffries had just received DeClarien's call. "This is Green Admiral, over!" he said. At the other end DeClarien replied: "This is Delta-Alpha-Foxtrot-Tango requesting information on your situation and if you require reinforcments, over!" "The hostiles have not yet left the building, we are currently rearming, reloading and reviewing tactics. Current need for reinforcements negative, over!" said the General. "Understood. However I have with me an expert who might be able to help us out, over!" "Put him on, over!" At the villiage hall DeClarien turned round to the Doctor and beckoned him over. Then DeClarien said: "Ok, here he is," and handed over to the Doctor. On the radio the Doctor said: "General, what instructions I am about to give you won't guarantee you victory, but it might reduce your loss of manpower, understood?" The General acknowledged. "Right, what I want you to do is get some anti-tank rockets or similar, and then combinging them with normal gunfire, concentrate your fire to the robots' head and..." "And what Doctor?" "You give them all they've got!" replied the Doctor with a grin on his face, "Over and out!" and then he put down the radio and switched it off. At the other end, the General order the requisition of some anti-tank missiles, grenade launchers and a tank for when the robots escape from the factory buildings.
However there was one problem with all this, the Patrician was watching. To an aide of his he said: "Down on the service is someone dangerously clever and knows our tactics. He must be found, interrogated and then destroyed!"

Chapter Ten:
"So boss, do we just click send?" asked David. "Just click send," replied the gent in calm tone. David did just that and the e-mails were immediately sent to their intended recipients: Ringo McAllister and Simon Robertson. "Boss, out of curiosity, what are you planning on doing?" John inquired. "In those e-mails are threats of blackmail and my demands. What my demands are, is a request for the two to apoligise to each other and that they agree what each of them did was wrong. The blackmail is if they don't, I shall publish their innermost secrets on the internet. I am fed up of their bickering and anyway you should know, you wrote it!" answered the gent. "Err, memory problems!" said John. "And that's not half of it!" quipped the gent.
Affected by the briefing given to her by the Sereneme operative, Cassandra made her way downstairs. When she got there she made a quick detour to the kitchen to pickup knife. She then concealed the utensil and began to look for her Father.
Cassandra's actions were being monitered carefully by the Patrician onboard the mother ship. "You know aide, when she does perform the task, the emotional shock will be so intense, so great that if you were to turn it into atoms they'd be able to outsize a hypergiant star ten times over. Plus you wouldn't need to amplify it. This planet is quite literally, ours for the taking!" "Yes my lord," replied the aide. "Of course, if I know humans, they have a tendency to compulsive lying. They promise one thing and then don't do it. Hmph, you wouldn't think they were civilised looking at them. An Earth dog has more table manners than that lot combined!" "Of course." "Wait, she's found the target!"
On the view screen Cassandra had found her Father. He didn't notice her quiet entry as he checked his e-mail. There, he opened a mail item- it was the gent's demands. He read it tentatively, unaware of what was about to hit him. "What? Oh dear. Yes, maybe I have been a silly old fool..." he muttered, "...yes, maybe I should. I know, I'll tell Cassandra." So he got up and turned around. "Ah, Cassandra... wha... NOOOO!" And those were his final words as Cassandra coldly stabbed him. Suddenly she saw what was on screen and collapsed, crying as she leaned on her Father's body.
"Excellent!" chanted the Patrician, "This is better than I thought! Aide! Prepare to begin the process!" And so he laughed madly as if the final victory was going to be his, and that was the way it seemed...
At the village hall the Doctor had just finished communicating over the radio when a device began to beep in his pocket. "What is that Doctor?" asked the Brigadier. "The TARDIS calling, it obiviously wants me for something or another," the Doctor replied. "Well I'm coming too," said Farrier. "Alright, just don't touch anything when we get in there. Brigadiers?" said the Doctor. "Oh, yes," the two Brigadiers replied. The four then set off to the TARDIS. It didn't take them long to get there and the Doctor had to quickly fend off the "it's bigger on the inside!" stament from Farrier and DeClarien. "Well we're here Doctor, but what's that low pitched resonating sound?" asked the Brigadier. "What!?!? The hasn't done that in years. So whatever's going on it's serious!" said the Doctor morbidly, tossing his oversized scarf over his sholder. "Well, what is it Doctor?" asked Farrier. "The TARDIS cloister bell. If that rings something that's not-good is about to happen. Put simply we're in big trouble here!" rhe Doctor answered. The Doctor, Farrier, the Brigadier and DeClarien looked at each other nervously.
At the factory, the robots which had been dormant for a while now suddenly began moving again. They marched in unison with little regard for life or property as they stomped around. The General looked on, "Oh great! Right before I start ordering more equipment and men!" he began, "Alright, FIRE!" And so his men began firing again on the robots. They didn't stop. The General, who never lost a platoon ordered his men to take cover as the robots continued their march and began firing at everything. The suddenly a group of them transmatted away.
On the Sereneme vessel operatives received the robots and then transmatted them to various locations in the world: The USA, London, France, Japan, Germany and Russia. Looking onwards, after collecting up Cassandra's emotional discharge, the Patrician chanted: "My brothers and sisters, let the invasion begin!" and he gave a manic smile and laughed.

Chapter Eleven:
On the TARDIS viewer screen the Doctor, Farrier and the two Brigadiers watched in angst as they saw the robot army increase in size and strenghth. "Whoever's doing this must really want to take over this planet!" commented a most worried Doctor. "Whoever's doing this is insane!" said Farrier, not as worried. "Well they certainly know what they're doing that's for sure!" replied the Doctor anxiously. And so, the carnage on Earth went on.
Two minutes went by. The TARDIS occupants thought to themselves when something struck the Doctor. He went to one end of the TARDIS central consol and started doing something. The Brigadiers and Farrier watched on in puzzlement. Then the Doctor went into another room. He came out again carrying a sheet of paper and said to DeClarien: "Take this, it's a list of the robots' strenghths and weaknesses. It's lucky I had it aboard no go, the lot of you!" So DeClarien, the Brigadier and Farrier all left the TARDIS. The Doctor closed the doors and a few seconds later the TARDIS dematerialised. "What the...?" said Farrier in amazement.
In the TARDIS the Doctor watched the thing's progress carefully. Soon, the TARDIS arrived in the Sereneme mothership unnoticed. It had materialised in one of the Cargo Bays and the Doctor stepped out. He walked over to one of the control panels and punched up a map on the viewing monitor. "The Bridge...The Bridge..." muttered the Doctor as he peered at the monitor, tracing the corridors with his finger and altering the map for each deck. After a few minutes the Doctor found it on the map for Deck 1. "Ah! Excellent," he said. However the Doctor's entry didn't go unnoticed. The a guard spotted him on the security monitor. "Command Centre, this is sector B01090D reporting an intruder, repeat an intruder!" "Arrgh, espied!" said the Doctor nervously and then he broke into a run as guard bots and security personel began patrolling the vessel's corridors. The Patrician was alerted to this almost immediately but his reply was: "Maintain security alert but let him come to the bridge of his own free will! I have something for him." the Patrician ordered, coldly.
The Doctor cautiously wandered the corridors, avoiding guards, unaware that they were under orders to let him through unless he did something to the ship's functioning. So, he slipped by, making his way to the control decks, his every move watched by a very keen Patrician. The Doctor approached a secure looking doorway, flung his scarf over his shoulder and then took out his sonic screwdriver so he good open it. But before the Doctor could do anything, the door opened, revealing a long corridor behind it. "This way please, Doctor," said the Patrician over a PA. "Of course," the Doctor replied. The Doctor obligingly stepped into the corridor and walked down it. Behind him the door shut and he stopped. "Carry on please," requested the Patrician. The Doctor looked up and carried on walking. The Doctor carried on until he reached another door, and then he stopped. He waited for a couple of seconds. "Well, aren't you going to let me through or something?" he inquired, impatiently. "Oh, terribly sorry Doctor," apologised the Patrician, and he opened the door. "That's better," began the Doctor, "Oh, and how do you know my name?" "All will be explained Doctor, now please enter," the Patrician replied. "Oh, very well," muttered the Doctor and he obliged.
Meanwhile, on Earth, things weren't exactly going well for the Earth armies. "So, these thing are immune to bullets, ordinance, heck! Even exploding tanks! So, what the hell do we do?!?!" was the remark of one General posted in Canterbury. The Sereneme robots were proving to be immune to the Earth weapons. However, what the people of the Earth did not suspect was the Patrician's special weapon.
At Titansgreen, the Gent and his two cohorts, John and David, were monitoring events from a safe place. "Hah, I haven't seen so much chaos and disorder since El Alamein!" the gent comment on the seemingly bleek situation. "Whatever you say sir," responded John, a comment that was quickly met with "Oh shut up!", courtesy of the gent.
"Sir! Someone wants to see you!" "Wha...?" replied the Brigadier. "Sir, somone wan..." repeated the soldier, before being interrupted. "Yes! I know someone wants to see me, who?" interrupted the Brigadier. "It's a gentleman sir, says he's from an organisation called...er...Worchtood I think," the solider explained. "Oh,errm, bring him in then," the Brigadier replied again. So, the solider brought in a 6 foot tall gentleman wearing a black suit. "Good evening sir," he began, "Brigadier Allistar Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart I presume?" "Yes, who are you?" answered and inquired the Brigadier. "Normans, Don Normans. I'm from Torchwood." "Torchwood?"

Yes, it's Scrapped I'm afraid. The reason is that upon looking at it, I'm not really that satisfied with it, so sorry guys, especially if you were looking forward to more. Though I suppose, all authors have a piece of work they eventually scrap though... Edit: By the way, I might just recycle a couple of ideas from this story though.
