I'm not sure what subject this would go under. Feel free to let me know. My question is this: Under the column author it shows the member's username then under that are names like companion, recruit (that's what mine says) councillor, etc. Under that are different numbers of stars. Can someone tell me what this means?

You are not the first person to ask this question, as there is one or two other topics asking the same question.
It is just a fun 'ranking' of sorts which relates to how many posts you have done, that is all.

Indeed, and I believe it's this thread, with this post explaining a bit more about the ranks. I hope this is helpful.

You're welcome. The table was VERY painful to create!

You're welcome. The table was VERY painful to create! I can imagine! By the way, how long has the discussion forum been going? Also, can anyone tell me how to add an avatar? I don't like ones provided and I don't understand how to use my own picture.

To add an avatar, go into your profile area and click modify, then look around and you should find a text box that says "Avatar URL" next to it. Then type in the URL of the image you want to use. Just no hotlinking as it's illegal, but Dominique ( boies00) will let you use images from the main site. As for your own image, just find an image host, post your image and insert its URL into the "Avatar Url" box like I mentioned earlier. Simple as that. And the forum has been going since January this year, initially on an experimental basis but it seems to be doing quite well and is moderately active (hence the small staff base).

Just no hotlinking as it's illegal, but Dominique ( boies00) will let you use images from the main site. What do I do to be able to use one of these images? On the main site, Find an image, right click on it and then you get a drop down menu. Click on properties and you get another window. Where it says "Address" there's the image's URL. You can memorise it, write it down or select it, right click then copy. Now, once you've done that, go into your profile (make sure you're logged in first), click modify, and then where it says avatar URL, just paste in the image URL, and set the dimensions to 100 by 100 pixels. Now that may enlarge or reduce the shape, depending on its original size. Or, if you get stuck, you could PM (private message) Dominique and ask him nicely, as he has the power to alter everyone's accounts. Oh, when sending him a PM, where it says "Which member/memebers do you want to send this message to:", type in "admin" (only without the quotations). Then type in your message and click send.

Thanks for the info. I decided on the 10th doctor because haven't seen anybody use it.

I was just wondering. How did manage to use two quotes on the same post?

I was just wondering. How did manage to use two quotes on the same post? Easy, quote one post, copy it to the clipboard, go back, quote another, paste the first one into this, and you may repeat the cycle for as much as you see fit. Or, if you know enough, type them in by hand.

JLD, isn't that second option a bit... long winded?
