In my signature there ought to be the URL to my blog of DW and other drawings. I'd like for these to get some exposure. Please take a look.

You're very talented.
I especially liked the Servelan portrait, and your Sarah Jane.

Thanks Neon.... Leela is absolutely my favorite, but I haven't done right by her yet. I should have more done of her but the eye thing interferes in a massive way with this. Know what? I had a bad incident where I'd spent months with a big Leela drawing taped to the back of my bedroom door (these things start out huge), and it was the best thing I'd ever done. Then there was this small thing that was just a little off in the face, and in trying to correct that, I did a little bit of damage, then I did more trying to fix that, until the whole face was thrown off and ruined.
For me this was being thrown off the horse, and not being able to get back on. I had to switch to the comics-like drawing to try to shake myself of this and move on somehow.

LOL- i can imagine that putting you off a little. But to be quite honest the Leela's i saw on the website looked fine, although, i didn't think the one where you aged her was not to flattering ;D.
I suppose if you are going into comic type drawings why don't you do a cartoon drawing of Leela, that i would like to see.

My dad once did that with a dining table that had a wonky leg. Every time he removed a bit from one leg to even it up, he found he had to shave a little off another leg. By the time he'd finished I swear the whole thing had lost about ten inches in height!

I hope the aging was realistic, and aging itself isn't necessarily flattering, but I just could not tell. I look and look at it and I have no idea if it's right. I wanted her at age 40 or 45 or so, still looking great and healthy, not falling apart.
Doing real people in comics form is something I've tried but have no clue how to do yet. It hasn't worked for me. I want to do it very, very much. A leela comics sort of story (though it would take decades at the rate I'm forced to go, by my eye thing) is exactly what i want to do.
"Stylization" is the thing I can't figure out how to do, I think.

Ahem, John isn't my real name. What my real name is... I'm not telling you just yet.
edit:: Wait, just realised you were only shortening the user name to reduce typing time!

This time I'm not even trying to think of anything interesting to say in this post, to save time. I'm a busy man.
