I recently visited the Modernist Exhibition at the V&A Museum in London. On display is a work by Russian Modernist, Georgii Krutikov, called the Apartment Complex from his City in the Sky series. I was immediately struck by the uncanny resemblance of the work to a Dalek. Does anyone know if Raymond Cusick ever acknowledged this painting as an inspiration for his Dalek design? It maybe that he had seen the painting and it had perhaps influenced him on a subconscious level. I would be surprised if there were no link between the two. www.villes-en-france.org/histoire/utopie3.htmThe Apartment Complex by Georgii Krutikov can be seen at the bottom of this web page. www.vam.ac.uk/modernismLink to Modernist Exhibition at the V&A Museum in London. Ah yes, I can see the resemblance between the Dalek design and the painting. Now I wonder where the cyberman design came from?

Wow, amazing resemblance! Also, JLD, I have something to tell you. Cybermen may have been influenced by the shape of the human body! This is only a theory, however.
