Not published until September but we can be prepared Blurb: Laylora - the Paradise Planet - is a world of breath-taking beauty, where peace-loving aboriginals live in harmony with their environment. Or do they? The Doctor and Rose arrive to find that the once-perfect eco-system is showing signs of failing. The paradise planet has become a death trap as terrifying creatures from ancient legends appear and stalk the land...Is there a connection between the human explorers who have crash-landed and the savage monsters? What secret lies at the heart of the natives' ancient ceremonies? And, what price might one human have to pay to save the only home he has ever known? When a planet itself becomes sick, can there be a cure? The Doctor and Rose find themselves in a race against time to find out...
Featuring the Doctor and Rose as played by David Tennant and Billie Piper in the acclaimed hit series from BBC Television. This novel was a replacement for 'The Last Museum', which has gone from the release schedules perhaps ready to appear with the next round of books.

You have got to be joking. About what? The book itself or my early posting?

The early post. How can you rate a book on it's blurb. P.S. Don't judge a book by it's cover

The early post. How can you rate a book on it's blurb. P.S. Don't judge a book by it's cover Well I wasn't intending for the poll to be actually voted in until the book was released. I was following suit in that the other books form the upcoming trio have got their own threads and polls but this one doesn't because it's a late replacement to one of the novels that has since been pulled from the release schedule. The idea was to post them now so when they were released there would be a poll to vote in (I'll admit it's a bit early but then again I wasn't the first to post the original series of threads, merely adding on the one for this, the late edition). Of course it's common sense not to vote yet but the idea was to advertise the release and instead of posting a poll afterwords in a separate thread and cluttering the messageboard, incorporate two in one.

A very green picture of the cover!

The target audience for these books seems to be middle class ten year olds with parents who care about the environment. That'll explain the well meaning but frankly implausible denoument and the transparent plot.

Yeah, it doesn't really make much sense to be honest.

The Doctor and Rose arrived on Laylora which is known as the Paradise Planet where they meet the crew of the SS Humphrey Bogart. Not a bad story in which Laylora is not quite the paradise that it is claim to be and the revelation about its inhabitants.
