For the ninth Doctor, we were treated to the following; For the Tenth Doctor, we have; but there is also; Is the storybook a child equivelent of the annual or should it be considered as part 2 of the annual? Also, have people got these? What do people think of them?

2009 Annual
The Greatest Mall In The Universe: First story. A comic strip by Colin Brake. The Doctor takes Donna to the mall of the title. Just as she enjoys shopping there she gets kidnapped. Pretty good story on why Donna got kidnapped with an interesting revelation towards the end.

2009 Annual
Once Upon A Time: Second story. Text story by Justin Richards with some illustrations. When the Doctor and Donna noticed that a story in a book keeps on changing they visit the book's author. Upon seeing the author they discover he's being control by an alien creature. This is a pretty light and a pretty fun story.

2009 Annual
The Time Sickness: Third story. A comic strip by Trevor Baxendale. The Doctor and Donna visits the planet Methuselah which is under a time barrier. A time barrier broken down. The robot that appear here does look threatening and seeing Donna ageing by the second by the time winds brings into mind Sara in the Daleks Master Plan.

2009 Annual
Most Beautiful Music: Fourth story. Text story by Justin Richards with some illustrations. Like I imagine the music of the title to be the story felt beautiful to read involving the Doctor and Donna helping out an old musical prodigy.

2009 Annual
Death Disco: Fifth and last story. A comic strip by Alan Barnes. A story that is basically about a futuristic version of Dancing With The Stars and dancing plays a key part in this story. A very enjoyable way to end this series of stories for this Annual.

2010 Annual
The Vortex Code: First story. A comic strip story by Trevor Baxendale. The stand-in companion for this story is a robot who carries information about the titular Vortex Code. An enjoyable story and quite clever the trick the Doctor pulls on the villains the Stellion Core pirates.

2010 Annual
Health & Safety: Second and final story. A comic strip story by Christopher Cooper. The Doctor helps out two aliens who got stranded on a planet and chased by dinosaur-like creatures. A good light hearted adventure especially with the appearance of the Automatic Health & Safety Hologram. The hologram provided good comic relief

2012 Annual
Amy’s Escapade: Second story. Amy has this little adventure on her own in a little break from the Doctor and Rory. Quite a fun story which involves a monster baker and Amy gets to sort of have a companion in a boy plus the appearance of the Judoon.

2012 Annual
Snow White and the Seven Keys to Doomsday: Third story. We first heard the name of this story in Night Terrors (which was mentioned there as a reference to Doctor Who and the Daleks in the Seven Keys to Doomsday, Snow White simply substituted the “Doctor Who and the Daleks” part of the title). Night Terrors writer Mark Gatiss may or may not have written this story himself as no author has been credited. Quite fun insertion into the Time Lord legend. Curiously the illustration of Rassilon is that of the Timothy Dalton version which would have perhaps suggests that Rassilon decide to choose this face again when we saw him in The End of Time.

2012 Annual
Attack of the 50 Ft Rory: Fourth story. Comic strip which starts with a flashforward of Rory as a giant hence the title. Then the story goes back to see how Rory became that way. Lots of fun this story. The part I really like was when Amy told the Doctor that Rory was not a decoy to distract the giants in which the Doctor responded by saying that the alternative of Rory being a decoy was Amy being one instead. It is then that Amy told Rory to distract the giants and thanks to the illustration of her face here made it easy to imagine of Karen Gillan actually saying that line.

2012 Annual
Rory’s Adventure: Fifth story. Rory has his own adventure in a little break from the Doctor and Amy. The setting is the same and time that had Amy’s Escapade. Nice little adventure with the elements the same as that of Amy’s Escapade.

2013 Annual
The Zentrabot Invasion: First story. A comic strip story. A pretty good story set during a Christmastime with the titular Zentrabots being quite menacing. The kids that stood in as companions to the Doctor worked well here

2013 Annual
Lorna’s Escape: Second story. In A Good Man Goes, Lorna says that she first met the Doctor when she was a girl. Well Lorna’s Escape is that story. Intriguing story about Lorna’s first meeting of the Doctor and provides a neat link-up to A Good Man Goes to War.
