Key to Time now in Region 2 & The Time Warrior

Well, I'd say it's about time they brought 'The Key to Time' stories out in Region 2! Personally I think it was utterly ridiculous having them out in Region 1 only in the first place!

I am glad The Time Warrior will be released. It is a highly underrated serial of the 3rd Doctor, and any 3rd doctor serial being released is good news. It is unusual that Key to Time was released first in America; most of the dvds are released first in Great Britain.

It was all to do with marketing. Apparently it was decided that American shoppers would prefer box set releases, and so the decision was taken (I think) to release Key to Time on Region 1 as it would fair better in the sales (not sure if it has or not)

Nevertheless it's superb news that it's getting a release over here in the UK, and is brilliant addition to the bumper stock of releases we're seeing this year:

Woo, looks like a bumper crop this year for those who like to but Doctor Who DVDs in the way farmers harvest crops. Plus, the first Sarah Jane Smith story will be out (I can forsee that one making the sales!). Oh well... *Goes off to check wallet and bank balance.*

It seems the Time Warrior will shortly be released in Region 2. It will be eventually be released in the United States, but there is no way of telling when we will get it.
