The Lost Angel is exclusive-to-audio story from BBC Audio featuring the Twelfth Doctor. Released in January 2017, just mere months before Peter Capaldi's final season as the Twelfth Doctor, and written by George Mann and Cavan Scott. Filling the companion spot here is that of Brandon and his sister Alex Yow. Read by Kerry Shale who had played Dr Renfrew in the Eleventh Doctor episode Day of the Moon. Shale makes a pretty good attempt in being Capaldi in his narration of this story. This story has a Weeping Angel, as indicated in the story title, in New York and of course the Doctor had faced off Weeping Angels in New York before in The Angels Take Manhattan. Fascinating that this starts off with someone whom the Doctor and Yows never meet and how this connects with the main strand of this story. Interesting as we gets introduced to the Yows and how they eventually meet the Doctor as they got embroiled with The Lost Angel. Enthralling the pace of this story and neat that with the Angels known be the Lonely Assasins that this description is presented to be literally true with the situation at hand.
After the main plot of this story I was surprised to hear the Yows truly becoming companions as they joined the Doctor on his travels.
Looking this up I found that the Yows have a few adventures with the Doctor subsequent to The Lost Angel and making them original companions in this format.
