The Glittering Storm is the first made for audio story of The Sarah Jane Adventures and read by Sarah Jane herself, Lis Sladen. Written by Stephen Cole and released in November 5 2007 on the same day of the broadcast of the concluding episode of Whatever Happened to Sarah Jane? At her place at 13 Bannerman Road, Sarah Jane disturbs a female burglar later identified as Dana Price and she is looking gold. Price, before she leaves, says "Our ... thoughts ... shine". In her investigation Sarah Jane discovers that Price is the mother of one of Maria's school mates and she had been stealing things in the girls' locker room. She also discovers other robberies all by women and that all these have in common is that all attended the Auriga Clinic, a private health centre specialising in treating muscular aches and pains. The owner of the clinic is Dr Francis Augur and has a brief history with Sarah Jane as she interviewed him back in 1987. Maria accompanies Sarah Jane to this clinic posing as her niece. Whilst Sarah Jane was talking to Augur, Maria got injected with gold and given the cover story that Sarah Jane is Maria's aunt was done so without Sarah Jane's consent. The result of the injection saw Maria acting oddly later on. An interesting first story to start out these Sarah Jane audios, the menace that is revealed with the Keratin and the ultimate resolution.
