The Beach: Series opener. A young man Naz Khan (Riz Ahmed) living in New York steals his father's cab to go to a popular party. However along the party he picks up a young woman and abandons going to the party to spend time with this woman. The next morning to his shock he wakes up to find this woman stabbed to death, Naz is soon arrested for this murder which he pleads innocence to. An intriguing start to this mystery.

Subtle Beast: Episode 2. In this episode Naz is told by his attorney John Stone that the truth is not on his side. An instance when the truth isn't helpful. Harrowing when Naz is sent to Rikers Island.

The Art of War: Episode 4. The episode title refers to the name of that book which comes up here. Harrowing for Naz to accept the manslaughter plea only for him to unable to say in court that he had killed Andrea. Very harrowing moment indeed.

The Season of the Witch: Episode 5. Harrowing the flashback in which Stone addressed the theory of defending Hitler as a client in a classroom. Intriguing Stone’s investigation which leads him to Duane Reade and then having give chase to him.

Samson and Delilah: Antepenultimate episode. Quite harrowing the trial and what it brought out.

Ordinary Death: Penultimate episode. Quite a moment between Naz and Chandra. Quite a harrowing experience for Stone in the gym. Despite the episode title the death here was definitely not ordinary.

The Call of the Wild: Finale. Naz is free from prison only because the jury had become deadlocked leading to charges being dropped. Quite a harrowing experience all this for Naz as he adjust to being a free man again. This ends with Stone meeting a potential client showing that life does go on.
