what will probably happen is the Sontarans will interupt a boating race in space and a RUtan will infiltrate a ship of the racing staff. One might look like Martha; DOnna and the Doctor will be split up among racers and the Doc will encounter Sontarans while DOnna will encounter the Rutans. Sound familiar? It should. It's been done before. Maybe. Then to find the real Martha, the Doctor and DOnna will go off to the planet of Sontarans! Exciting? NO!
The three part season ending with Rose will bring her back and will take place on Gallifrey to rip off LUNGBARROW, which will involve the Doctor's family! Donna, Martha, and Rose will replace CHris, Romana, and Leela and/or K9. It's possible that for this story Lalla Ward will return.

Apart from the fact that life would be so much easier without Lungbarrow (best to ignore most of it, I find) aren't the Time Lords still dead? And didn't DT sign on for the 2009 specials? But while I take your satirical vision as a necessary response to the endless return of the Daleks (and possible Cybermen, Master, Sontaran, Davros and Ice Warrior franchises), just where would YOU take this show in the future?
My favourite stories of season 33 were Blink (adapted from an existing short story), Human Nature/Family of Blood (previously a novel), and Smith and Jones (introducing a new human companion) They were all new, inventive ways of making exciting tv. Would it matter if they raided a few old stories (tv/novel/audio) for some enemies/plotlines?

Yeah, HUMAN NATURE was great, so was BLINK. I just am still stinging from the awfulness of the two parter DALEKS IN MANHATTAN (and whatever the other part was called) and the awful awful last two eps of season 33 with the Master. How awful was John Simm as the Master, how awful was the script, the music and the silly Capt Jack's "contribution" to this story? HOw morbid?
Where would I take it? Hmmmm? I see that taking old stories and making them better DOES work but it also speaks of little imagination for the writers and producer of this show. They really should move on. In fact, fans would hate me if I was producer. I would probably make a proviso that all comics, novels and audios be completey halted until the show was cancelled or ended. I find there are some excellent novels, audios, and comics that would make GREAT TV episodes. DW is endless for stories but not all of them are good. I would also cancel or never make spinoffs while the main DW show were on the air. That way the crew could maintain and keep working on the DW show and not spinoffs that are cheaper to make because they stay in one place all the time. I would then expand DW to a longer season because if the crew can make Torchwood and Sarah Jane, if those shows didn't exist, they can make a 22 or 30 ep DW series or season or what you call it that can be run throughout the entire year.
I would never have poor scripts like RUNAWAY BRIDE, DALEKS IN MANHATTAN, LAST OF THE TIME LORDS, and NEW EARTH not to mention the LONG GAME made into an ep.
Enough with the companions falling in love with the Doctor. I can see one or two of them, but all of them---even Mickey and Jack seem to have fallen for him? WTF? Why? I hope they don't make Donna fall for hjim too but I imagine that's what will happen.
Frankly, I think it's time for a whole new crew and group of writers. See what they can do with it. RTD has obviously run out of ideas. Oh and btw, the Master was supposed to be gone along with the Time Lords and Rose was supposed to not be able to get back to the Doctor or he to her forever...and both of those have been negated. RTD told us years ago he would never bring back the Master...or was he just lying to fool us? I wasn't fooled. I knew the Master would return. I'm sure the Rani will as well. Now, I'm not against having old foes and friends return but only in a good script or story. I'm so sorry Sarah Jane has become such a tosser that she never moved on with her life but pined away for the Doctor. ANd apparently Rose is making her life ambition: getting back to the Doctor. So I"m sure that GALLIFREY as I'm sure it might be called (?) will be around and even if not, what's to prevent an accident from the TARDIS sending it back in time to the planet before it was destroyed or ersased or whatever? Or what if there is a Gallifrey in a parallel Universe? Believe me, I hope the show can do something like LUNGBARROW but better. Part of me thinks it can but a large part of me, after seeing that utter crap that was TIME CRASH, doesn't think so.
I would time hop more often. I would adapt most of the 9th and 10th Doctor novels, most are not bad. Circular Time was a great audio and might work.
I think if the DOctor does regenerate it might be interesting to NOT see it and to have the companions stuck in a past time with a ton of guest stars, any one of whom could be the Doctor with his new face and body and maybe his memory is lost? That wouild be a great new way to introduce a new Doctor. Frankly, David Tennant is a good actor but he also goes to depths of awfulness sometimes (New Earth, Time Crash) and I"m sick to death of the macho posturing (Utopia), the fact that everyone has to love the DOctor and that he shows off so much. It's irritating as David does it. When Colin did it, it was not irritating, when Pertwee was mean, it's not as mean as David's Doctor doing it. He's a bloody show off, the Doctor and David overplays that each and every time. Of course HUMAN NATURE and DOOMSDAY and THE GIRL IN THE FIREPLACE show how great David can act.
I"d like someone stronger like Patrick Steward to play the DOctor or maybe Sir Guy from Robin Hood playing him (rhciard Armitage).
I would set stories in the far far past if they could, they haven't gone really back in time that far yet. Of course aliens have to be involved all the time but for one story a season I might not have aliens in it. I'd do a Spanish Armada story (possiby with someone insane on board that has gone mad by traversing the universe but not evil in his own right); a planet of children who are peaceloving that want to stop the Rutan Sontaran war; a present day Earth story where Menoptera help the Doctor stop a Maine invasion by bat creatures; an undersea war; a nuclear holocaust; stories, you know. I'd also set for a Doctor wh's not foppish, over the top, silly, and ranting all the time!

oh dear, have you watched TIME CRASH? RTD is run down and out of ideas, which is why he's pillaging old ones, better ones in fact. Just my opinion

Recently saw something on YouTube concerning Series 34. Rose will be returning for 3 episodes! Whooo hoooo! But apparently, Donna and Martha will be there as well. Hmmmm.

SPOILERS SO DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW ABOUT SEASON THIRTY FOUR
SPOILERS
Frankly I think it's a very, very bad idea. Rose left in what is possibly the best DW story ever and in no doubt about it being the best leaving scene ever, best acted scene ever. To bring her back seems very cheap and boring. ANd having her there with Martha AND Donna...it smacks of desperation. My guess is they will bring her back and use her in some kind of three part (YAWN) Gallifrey story similar to LUNGBARROW. How utterly crap. Rose will see the Doctor Ten regenerate into 11 and I also figure one of these companions IS going to die.

Wasn't sure where to put this, but I just watched a video about Billie Piper on YouTube. Did anyone know that she could sing? I didn't! Enjoy the video. She's pretty good. www.youtube.com/watch?v=55cX8dmm9XQ

Anyone have any idea on whether The Doctor's Daughter could involve a return to the series of Susan Foreman? If the Master can return, why not Susan?
