The Art of Death: The Art of Death was an exclusive to audio story by AudioGo.
Featuring the Eleventh Doctor, Amy and Rory.
Written by James Goss and released in January 2012.
Read by Raquel Cassidy who had appeared with this TARDIS trio several months earlier in 2011 in the TV story The Rebel Flesh/The Almost People playing Miranda Cleaves.
In The Art of Death she plays Penelope as well as the TARDIS crew and other characters.
The Art of Death is a Doctor-lite as the story mostly features Penelope as the Doctor and his companions makes fleeting appearances along the way.
In fact Penelope meets separately each of the three TARDIS travellers before all three of them appear together at the end.
I was especially impressed on how Penelope described Amy when she first met her as a stunning woman with long red hair. My wife Karen Gillan is certainly a stunning woman with red hair as the size of her hair has varied since the release of The Art of Death.
Also impressive is how Raquel Cassidy emulates the Doctor as she presented him madder in a good way than how Matt Smith ever did.
A pretty good structure in how the story was told with Penelope narrating the events of her life with her encounter with each of the TARDIS travellers.
A certainly shocking revelation about Penelope at the near end of the story and how it all wrapped up in the end.
