Am I the only one on this forum who has seen very little of the new series or Torchwood? I have to reluctantly admit I think the last 2 Doctors were both better than the new series. I have only seen the first year with Eccleston, so it is possible it has improved since I watched it. I still am more interested in getting the classic series on dvd than watching the new one. I suppose the way they started off the new series by killing off Gallifrey and the Time Lords also soured me on the new series somewhat. I would be interested to know if I am the only one who doesnt care much about the new series.

I haven't bothered with "Torchwood" but I do watch the new series when it comes to the Sci-Fi Channel here in the US. It has its flaws, but its still good tv, IMO. I also enjoy the classic series alot. You shouldn't let the destruction of Gallifrey and the Time Lords bother you. It really doesn't hurt the show. It was the producers' way of "freeing up" the Doctor. Besides, if the rumors are correct, there might be some Time Lords left after all.

I used to have time watching it on Fridays when they would show it on the Sci-Fi Channel; but now I am usually working on Friday nights. I suppose the only way I will ever see the new series will be to purchase the dvds, and watch them on my off-days.
