Whoa! This has to be lump of platinum standing out from the gold! My verdict? 5 STARS! Brilliant! ;D

5/5. The best episode in the season by far IMO. Creepy as all hell, and that makes it in my book.

Ah such a fantastic episode. definitely a five. The CGI was fantastic for the Blitz attack, the child wanting his mummy was generally creepy and the transformation of Dr Constantine was excellent.

When a relative of mine came along to watch this one on DVD at the end of it he spilled the chocolates all over the floor! What makes it even more amusing he was only 41! ;D However he didn't watch Part Two because Part One had given him recurring nightmares. To this day he still hasn't recovered.

Did he hide behind the sofa? No, as a matter of fact he hid the TV behind the sofa.

"No, as a matter of fact he hid the TV behind the sofa." I chuckled audibly.
I count it all as one story called Empty Child and rated it highly. I called a friend repeatedly and left one message after another saying "Are you my mummy?" in multiple accents because of this one.
For me, it's not enough that it's creepy. It has a heart too. Horror without a genuine human element, I mean a positive one, is... well, empty. Pointless.

In fact, on the matter above, we wouldn't have minded but we were watching it at the time.

4/5. The episode was made very well but I didn't find it particularly creepy.

The combined Empty Child/Doctor Dances story I rate as one of the best ever...maybe *the* best ever...

I liked this episode. It really piqued my curiosity as to what was going on. Great setting for a Doctor Who, and I liked the kids. The little one with the gas mask was eery, though I did feel a little sorry for him, I was mostly concerned for those he was haunting. I was really looking forward to the second part, after this was over. 4 out of 5 for me.
