With season 31 now well and truelly over it's time to ask the question. What was your favorite story of season 31. Well apart from people in America who will have to wait a bit longer before they can enjoy season 31. But for the rest of us it's time to vote. Ashley

I went for all of them, loved every minute of the new series and can't wait for the return later on in the year.

Gotta say I voted for 'all of them' too.
Couldn't fault any of them. The effects were superb, the scripting tight and the action sequences tense and exciting.
Long may it continue!

The Empty Child / The Doctor Dances was the best for me!

I voted for Empty Child/Doctor Dances, too...but the love is going out to Empty Child. I really didn't care for part two...

I loved Dalek. Was great to see them return. But really I like them all apart from the Slitheen episodes. They just seemed lame as aliens, looks wise and motive wise

Until recently I would have gone for "Dalek," but after hearing its basis in the audio story "Jubilee," I don't quite enjoy the Eccleston outing as much, so I have to give the edge to "The Unquiet Dead," which was wonderfully atmospheric with killer performances.

Until recently I would have gone for "Dalek," but after hearing its basis in the audio story "Jubilee," I don't quite enjoy the Eccleston outing as much, Ironically enough, the first time I saw Dalek, I had the opposite reaction I enjoyed 'Jubilee,' but found the similiarities with it and 'Dalek' more of a downgrade in the TV version. Of course, after hearing that it was meant by RTD to mirror the audio, and rewatching it a few times, I've grown to like it. I went with 'Unquiet Dead' for my pick. Lots of stellar choices for the season, but the writing, mood, acting and effects all meshed together seamlessly for a perfect DW story

I borrowed a imported copy of the whole first series last month and I had a hard hard time returning it.... I think i watched each episode 4 times in total.... I was very much impressed.

i wouldn't of voted for mcgann if had had a series to his name, i would loved to have seen him do a series, or even a few episodes before he regenerated

I voted for Rose, for me the highlight of a rather bad season most of the time. Although I do wish Paul McGann had been given another chance in the role.
Am sure next season will be much better because Tennant's doctor will be so much better than Ecclestons.

My vote goes to The Empty Child. Like another post, The Empty Child rocked! The second half was alright, but not as good or as creepy or as scary as the first half. As I was watching it, I now understood the whole "Behind the couch" idea that was used frequently during the original series. The Empty Child was extremely scary. The whole "Are you my mother?" from a faceless (almost) kid & then nearly everyone else just still sends chills up & down my spine. I loved it.
Rose will have a special place for me as it was the beginning of the new series finally. And I was so thrilled when I found out that Canada (where I'm from) got it only a few days after it aired in Britain! Happy days!
Dalek was good as it brought back THE villain of any TV show today, even ever so short.
Bad Wolf/The Parting of Ways gives my other vote as the whole reality show/kill or be kill show really was pretty cool & the whole reason behind it? Daleks taking over the Earth (again!) just was awesome. And when they pulled back & showed the Dalek Fleet! I was like "Oh sh*t!" And then the surprise return of the Emperor (sans Davros, which was the only thing that would have made the episode really cool & awesome, but can't have everything).

The Unquiet Dead was my favourite. One of the few stories that didn't contain a long list of plot holes.
