There's this one issue with the Doctor Who TV Movie, it says the Doctor is half-human. So, who believes that? I don't.

I'm not too keen on the idea, I believe it was a more prominent issue in earlier versions of the script, I think it was meant to explain why he had such a fascination with Earth.
Thankfully it's not been taken up in the new series, although it does give a nice explanation to why the Doctor likes Earth I prefer to see it as the reason given in 'The War Games' the Doctor is fascinated by the human species, not because he is one of them.
I wonder if there is a fan fic out there concerning the whole issue? One that might explain that only the Eighth Doctor had this trait for some reason.

Better yet ignore the whole tv movie.
The thinking behind this was prob`ly something dumb like thinking the viewers would identify more with the doctor if he was half human or some crap

As we said, it is very Americanised and theres a little too much in the way of throwing Who-isms into a single movie/episode, but it is worth a watch. McGann actually plays the Doctor rather well I think. Its just a couple issues that fans tend to have problems with.

I think whoever came up with the Doctor being half-human should be hung, drawn and quatered. Preposterous!
That's primarily why I don't give some of what's stated in the novel 'Lungbarrow' too much stick.

Entertaining read though. But yeah, there is plenty in Lungbarrow to be ignored.

Or an alternative to the whole "HALF HUMAN" allegation it could be that this regeneration left him with some human DNA. So it could just be this incarnation which is human.

But going by what I've read so far in "Lungbarrow", the thing about the Doctor being half-human couldn't possibly be true.
