Written by Jim Mortimore, Campaign was a book that was commissioned by the BBC Past Doctor Adventures range but was rejected for it. Originally written in 2000, it would take until 2008 for Campaign to be made available to read as an ebook at the New Zealand Doctor Who Fan Club. doctorwho.org.nz/archive/campaign/Featuring the First Doctor, Ian, Barbara and Susan and with Alexander the Great as the story’s historical character. Campaign was a truly bizarre story to read with all the twists and turns that came with it, it is easy to understand why this was rejected as part of the BBC Past Doctor range back in 2000. As well the story itself, the Campaign e-book also has extra material including Mortimore’s somewhat bizarre writing processes, the reasons why Campaign was rejected for publication and reactions from people who finally got to read it.
