As well as talking about the First Doctor and the early years of Doctor Who there was also discussions on Ian, Barbara and Steven, Ben and Polly but none whatsoever on Vicki, Katerina, Sara and Dodo. Very amused when John Barrowman recounted seeing The Gunfighters including the sing-a-long scene from that story (too bad there wasn’t one in A Town Called Mercy). Interesting comment from David Tennant when clips of The Aztecs was shown that while history can be investigated it cannot be dabble with. Of course this was the problem that Tennant as the Tenth Doctor had faced with The Fires of Pompeii coming to mind but something he disregarded towards the end of The Waters of Mars. The Famous Foes segment only discusses the Daleks. This perhaps shouldn’t be a surprise since the Daleks were responsible for Doctor Who’s longevity. Also interesting comment from Tennant that since there was no Twitter back then, how people reacted upon seeing the cliffhanger of the first Dalek serial.
