From The Doctor Who News Page: The Sarah Jane Adventures has bee nominated for two 2011 BAFTA Children’s Awards. The series has been nominated for Best Drama facing competition from Combat Kids, House of Anubis & Just William. Head writer Phil Ford got nominated in the Best Writer category. His competition here is James Lamont and Jon Foster for The Amazing World of Gumball, Ben Ward, Steve Punt and Dave Cohn for Horrible Histories & fellow Doctor Who writer Simon Nye for Just William. SJA had been nominated before in 2008, 2009 and 2010 but did not get an award for any of those previous occasions. As SJA has recently ended (in the UK), the 2011 BAFTAs is its last chance to win at least one award. SJA has also been nominated for the BAFTA Kids’ Vote in the TV category. The Sarah Jane Adventures did not win the BAFTAs that it was nominated for as it lost out to Just William for Drama and to Good Luck Charlie for the Kids' Vote.
