5 Stars. One of Tom Baker's best in my opinion.

I concur. A gem from the days when Tom's stories were good.

4/5. It was a good story, but not one of the best.

He also had some really bad ones, near the end. He had more excellent ones than bad ones, however. It is probably why he is remembered so fondly.

The Bad Tom Baker Stories: The Android Invasion Underworld The Armageddon Factor Creature from the Pit The Horns of Nimon Meglos Not many, but they're there. And the good ones? Too numerous to mention.

I watched this again today on DVD and I have to say it's an outstanding story; the episodes seemed to fly by, really enjoyable. Top marks

Included in The Ark In Space Special Edition DVD is the 70 minute TV movie version of The Ark In Space which the BBC showed in the 1970s sometime after the original broadcast of the serial. As the TV movie ran at 70 minutes it cut down material from the total running time of the serial of more than 20 minutes. Remarkably what got left out of this edit included the Doctor and Harry first discovering Sarah was missing due to the transmat, Noah's initial reaction to Harry, Noah shooting the Doctor and the High Minister's message. With these scenes missing from the TV movie version it certainly presented the story at a different angle.

Too numerous to mention. I'm afraid I can't agree with your list of bad Tom Baker stories mate! Every one of those titles has something good about them! But I don't see Sun Makers, Ribos Operation and Pirate Planet in there and boy they should be!JB
