Had I said 'The Creature from the Pit' a lynch mob would have arrived at my house in seconds! *Doorbell Rings* Of course I did forget to mention that I haven't quite disclosed my address to anyone.

Don't worry, I can get around that. *Turns on IP Address Locator (Brought to you by Google- we aren't evil! Or so it would appear...)*

Anyway, I think we should get back to the topic- Fang Rock. I gave it a 4 because it wasn't really one of my favourites, to be honest.

Not my favourite either, but still very good. So, what did you like about it? I rather found quite a few of the lines and scenes quite funny and I also liked the sense of tension throughout too.

Yeah, classic Doctor Who always has an underlying comedy, which stands out with certain Doctors. I think the episode was well written, but it just didn't particuarly stand out...

How about Leela's request for something else to wear so she could get out of her "damp clothes" (obviously uncomfortable in her frippery), and the guy mutters something about the chances there'd be anything appropriate for her in the lighthouse, only to turn around and realize she was already taking them off! (At which point he flees to find her something.)

Dr Who is (IMO) at it's best when it tries good old fashioned sci-fi horror and Fang Rock is one of those stories that pulls that off perfectly.

In that sentence, I finally managed to figure out that IMO means In My Opinion.

On the night of November 22, 1987, this episode was broadcast in the U.S. on Chicago's PBS station. I missed it, but American fans who did might remember this. I just stumbled across this once and thought I'd share this for fans who didn't know about it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnDYssFcNxc I'll bet alot of viewers were pretty ticked off. Some people have some nerve!

I was one of those who saw my first Doctor Who episodes on PBS, but it was in Florida not Chicago.
