5/5 . One of the top stories. It does seem the Time Lords interfered a lot in the 4th doctors life.

Everyone thinks the same for this one. I think the production team at the time should all be given medals.

One of my first serials from the '99 repeats. Brilliantly acted, paced and scripted...

I watched the DVD last week and I give it a 5/5. It's absolutely one of the very best Doctor Who stories with the introduction of the infamous Davros, who is a perfect anti-hero againt the Doctor in a strong moral story.

I can't remember where it was I got this information, but it was the actions in "Genesis..." that ultimately leads to the Time War. So, in effect, the Time Lords brought it upon themselves, because they broke their own non-interference policy by sending the Doctor to Skaro to interfere with the genesis of the Daleks. I think it's mentioned in "The Stolen Earth" (10th Doctor).

The only trouble with Genesis comes when you try to tie it all into The Daleks with William Hartnell! The Daleks are too evolved compared to the original ones and even have the solar panels around their chest long before they should have them after Dalek Invasion of Earth and The Chase! but if you ignore the Hartnell and Troughton eras and just keep Pertwee then you're okay!
