The first epsode was really promising. Loved the new Doctor and Amy, thought the story was funny and interesting and did the job of getting the whole thing off to a bright and breezy start very well. I expect it'll all get a lot darker very quickly. As for the theme/titles..I'll get used to them. The new TARDIS looks great, however.

The second episode was classic Dr Who fare, what with its corridors and tunnels and creepy menace. It reminded me of the Troughton stories I watched as a kid. Still think the new Doctor and Amy are brilliant together.
Victory of the Daleks started very funny and ended well but inbetween was one of the worst pieces of plotting I've ever seen - practically ruined the whole thing. Nice new Daleks though. I expect we'll see them again soon.
The Time of Angels is the first of a two parter so a lot to be resolved but after a first viewing it felt like the best episode of the season so far.
So, all in all a very positive few weeks with the promise of things getting even better as we go on.

Flesh and Stone was a brilliant concluding part, and the pay-off felt like a big hint at what we can expect from the final two-parter, like there's a major story arc in operation.
The Vampires of Venice had a great opening half hour but the conclusion and reveal were a bit disappointing. Amy's Choice, on the other hand, was just so good - I can't remember enjoying an episode as much for years.
My kids loved the two Silurian episodes, and Vincent and the Doctor. Me, I thought they were okay. Still can't help thinking that Amy on the hillside at the start and end of the Silurians and Vincent's unusual ability to see things differently are clues about, or components of, the season finale. which makes me think I'll be watching these episodes again with a different perspective in a few weeks.
Ten shows in and only one false step. Amy is a wonderful companion, Matt Smith is a genius choice as the Doctor and the series feels stronger than ever.
