The Advent of Fear is an online short story on the official Doctor Who BBC website as part of the 2009 Advent calender.

The story has a young girl Beth visiting her grandmother when she found an old advent calender.
Eventually as a result of the calender Beth found herself in her grandmother's house in 1859 and it is here that she meets the Doctor.
So far it has been a fun start to the story with a terrifying cliffhanger at the end.

Very good conclusion.
A very sinister alien that appears here.
Very thrilling the scene with the chandelier.
A very eerie ending.
