Is anybody else reading these? Faint praise I know but for books aimed at the younger end of the DW audience they're far better than I was expecting.
My main problem with them is how short they are. Although they claim to be 128 pages long, by the time you've subtracted the blank pages, logic puzzles and the extracts from the next novel in the series etc there are only about 80 pages of big print (ie 40-50 pages of normal paperback size writing) in each. Not a lot for your five quid.

The Dust of Ages: First book. The Doctor visits the Moon when there is a unknown power source there.
The Dust of Ages has been a pretty good start to the Darksmith Legacy series which ends in a very good cliffhanger.

The Graves of Mordane: Second book. A pretty enjoyable instalment from Colin Brake with a good companion-like character in Catz and a very good use of zombies. Other fun bits include the Doctor trying to explain what a jiffy is only to realise that he does not really know and the explanation of what is meant by reverse the polarity of the neutron flow.

The Colour of Darkness: Third book. Written by Richard Dungworth and released in 2009. It featured the Tenth Doctor travelling on his own without a regular companion. Very thrilling book taking place in the midst of a village on the planet Karagula especially since the village is childless. Also eerie is the woman with powers.
