Is it just me or is there no logic in the pricing of the DVDs here in Australia. Particularly the Classic Doctor Who range?
I was going to post examples of the boxsets and compare prices, but I can't remember them off the top of my head. It also depends which shop you get them from. Newer boxsets such as E-Space and Trial seem to be a lot cheaper than the slightly older sets like Beneath the Surface etc.
It makes no sense at all and it's probably a good thing I'm holding back on purchasing any DVDs from the range at the moment.
When I go to the shops next I will try to remember the prices so I can give a better example of what I'm on about, but what do other Aussie forum members think?

I think I have seen the Bred for War set cheaper or the same price as the 3 dvd sets though I could be wrong.
But yeah, thanks for including all of that, because that list just proves how stupid the prices are, it makes me wonder how they will price The War Games as it will probably have all 3 discs in a single DVD case.
The most frustrating thing about the pricing is that even though the newer boxsets are $50, the older ones haven't been reduced in price and are still around the $70

Also, I recall getting the Complete Fourth series for just under $80 when it first came out...

So EzyDvd are selling many of the classic series dvds and new series 'vanilla releases' for $19.97 each
Borders are selling them for $16.99 each, including the double story boxsets 'Time-Flight/Arc of Infinity' and 'The Rescue/The Romans'
And JB Hi-Fi are selling them for $15.98
So it's a good time be be buying Doctor Who dvds in Aus at the moment!

The EzyDvd website is listing The War Games at a price of $29.97 which is decent, but I am hoping that JB Hi-Fi will have it cheaper. Frustratingly though we will have to wait till about the 3rd of September. www.ezydvd.com.au/item.zml/807424
