Could the Solonians have been Light's race?

I just got finished screengrabbing the end of "The Mutants" for captioning -- and just realized something. At the end, the "final" mutation of Ky looked suspiciously like Light from the Seventh Doctor serial "Ghost Light!" It got me to thinking: could the Solonians who mutated during the planet's summer season.... have become Light's race?

Ky seemed to exhibit great powers as Light did. It seems a nice contrast to the two stories: Ky developed through evolution -- and evolution ultimately proved to be Light's undoing. Sure, Light's spaceship landed millions of years in Earth's past. But for as powerful as the race was, perhaps they eventually created time-travel. And it would make sense that they proved to be a strong, influential species...otherwise why would the Time Lords go to the trouble of sending the Doctor to "save" them?

There's certainly nothing mentioned in Ghost Light but I like the idea.

It's an all likely possibility that the Advanced Solonians could've developed Time Travel facilities. Althought there's nothing as such to prove it, there's nothing to disprove it either. That's what's so good about fiction! ;D

Nicely spotted, they certainly look similar and there's no reason why they shouldn't be of the same race.

I would certainly agree that given Glitterrock's explaination it is plausable that the two are of the same race!
