There have always been google adds on this forum. I have no problem with that because they have always just been at the top and bottom of the page.
Now however, adds seem to have popped up between the first and second posts of every thread.
This is a bit distracting me thinks. Is there a way to keep it to just having adds at the top and bottom of the pages?

This second post is a simple demo to see if an add will pop up between these two posts.
EDIT: And there it is...

Looks like the trial period is near the end. If they indeed offer an option to place the ads at the top of the forum, I'll go for it.
Otherwise, even a badly located ad is a small price to pay to keep the forum free.
Of course, it would cost only $7.00 to get 50,000 pages free of ads. But I am not ready to pay for a service that is not bothering me as much as if it was pop-ups for instance.

IMHO the ads presence is not a big deal, especially once you got used to them. Sometimes I even find an interesting link to click on though so far I never bought from a site I found through an ad.

I just don't click on the ads full stop.

I am somewhat annoyed by the ads. I hope the trial period is almost over.

I see the ads as a small price to pay to have the forum free then obviously clicking on them is a personal choice.

Click on the ads and the person who runs the website you go to has to pay Google! Thats one of the things people had against Google.
