I think 'The Aztecs' is quite as good and entertaining story and it kept me interested.

I'm going to go with the Daleks for this one. I'm not a fan of purely historical stories.

I went for 'Keys of Marinus'; it's a bit of a runaround, but I think it's a great story. 'An Unearthly Child' is good as well, but the last three episodes don't quite live up to the first.

I've gone for An Unearthly Child - it was the first William Hartnell story I ever saw at a convention back in the 1980s and I was struck at how different it was from the episodes being made at the time. Somehow that feeling of awe has stuck with me.

Marco Polo was the best story- too bad it is no longer around.

An Unearthly Child was the first classic story I got. It has to be it.

I would have thought more people would have voted for Marco Polo.

I would have thought more people would have voted for Marco Polo. Marco Polo being missing (most of it), how many people have actually seen it, and therefore can vote for it?

Good point. Although I hear they have some parts of the story on 'The Beginning' dvd. I may have heard wrong about this though.

Yeah, I would've bought that DVD, but I already had 100,000 BC/An Unearthly Child and I'd just put the winning bid on The Daleks.

I will get it in the future and then I will see if it has anything about Marco Polo.

Good point. Although I hear they have some parts of the story on 'The Beginning' dvd. I may have heard wrong about this though. The 'Edge of Destruction' disk has an abridged version of the story, reconstructed with the surviving audio and some photos. As I recall it's about 30 minutes long or so.

Maybe we can figure out how Marco Polo could have been from that!
