Honestly I don't remember if I made a toilet break but certainly not a tea stop because I don't drink much tea.

Are we voting on it from a 21st Century perspective (in which case it is long-winded and lacking dramatic tension) or from a 1960s viewpoint, where it was never meant to be watched in one sitting (or even again: tv/radio shows/pop music were all disposable items with no concept of longevity)? Most of you are too young, fortunately, to remember waiting three, five or six weeks for Who stories to unfold. I saw it the first time round, was hooked, and I've been a fan ever since. I'd give it 6/5 if I could (but only 3/5 if I saw it today for the first time, I'm not blind to its faults).

It's only natural that this adventure is a product of its time but even watching it all in an afternoon I didn't think that it lacked dramatic tension, it's just that today we got used to stories with action, action and more action to keep dramatic tension so most people don't catch a different artistic espression way.

Thus, tastes change over time, except your sense of it.

I chose 3 stars because sadly I don,t find it as interesting as its reputation, nonetheless it is quite good.
