I can't really vote having only read the first.
It frustrates me living in Australia, because I have to ask questions such as:
What is the Annual? What does it consist of? And what is 'Monsters and Villains'?

Winner Take All just felt...RIGHT. The characters were superbly done.
Monsters and Aliens, though, was surprisingly more than the typical cash-in book...still wasn't that spectacular (it depends on if the "secrets" they reveal will ever matter).
I fear I haven't read the Annual yet...hasn't arrived through the normal channels in America.

I would of said Winner Takes All as well because of its great story and the pace of it is just right but..
I choose the annual as you get some great short storys (with my particular favourite being "what I did on my christmas holiday" loved the idea) and a good background on the doctor which ends with a cliffhanger I cant wait to get resolved in the TV show.

I liked all the information the Annual gave about the Time War. Also i like the fact it didn't give to much away about it, we still don't know what happened and why the Doctor is the only one left.
But i was disappointed that there was no mention of Jack in the Annual, yep, we got Roses Back story but non from Jack's. Maybe they are waiting to show back story in Torchwood.
I Loved The Stealer of Dreams and Only Human, they were the best books in my opinion.
And i cant wait until the new tenth Doctor novels come out. I eagerly want to start reading I am a Dalek and the others, The Stone Rose sounds intriguing, i have a few theory's of that story.

I went for 'Winner takes all, a great story with some interesting ideas and a good deal of suspense.
I've enjoyed all of the new series books so far, and eagerly await the next four. I hope at some point they do decide to release more Ninth Doctor books, as long as they don't go the way of the EDA's, which got far too bogged down in it's own continuity.

I thought Winner Takes All was an enjoyable read. I liked that it was set at Roses time/planet. I liked that Micky had an important role. I would love for them to do more ninth Doctor books maybe focusing on the time before the doctor met Rose or during the Time War. AND THEY NEED TO DO MORE STORIES WITH JACK IN THEM.

I thought "The Monsters Inside" was fairly decent!
I have a thought:
There are 6 9th Doctor books, yes? On the spine of each book it is numbered in Gallifrey numerals 1-6.
I was looking at the 3 10th in a bookshop today and noticed that the 3 books have 7-9 in those same Gallifrey numerals.
Does this mean there is no intention for more 9th Doctor books? At least from the BBC?

Until I read them all, I am reserving my vote though I do like the sound of 'The Stealers of Dreams'!

They were all pretty decent; I think Deviant Strain was best, with Clockwork Man close behind, and the Annual was very good too. No real stinkers in the bunch.

Clockwise Man was my favourite. though a lot of them suffer from the capture/escape/recapture structure. For kids though, innit?
