Well I'm for the "Yes" party. What about everyone else?

I'd say yes, but so long as it looked stylish and not just added on to the sequence for the sake of adding it on.

DEFINITELY. It's not quite the same without it.

Can anyone suggest a way to put it on?

Can anyone suggest a way to put it on? I suppose you could have the way the original series did it in it's latter years, by having stars make up the outline of the Doctor's face before the full picture fades into view, but that would mean altering the title sequence to involve a star field, it would look a bit tacked on by using the time vortex effect currently in use, which I rather like, it looks quite stylish to me.

I thought of one method:
Using the time tunnel, the TARDIS flies along at alarming speed. As it does a bright light fills the time vortex and slowly materialises into the Doctor's face. When it's fully formed, with colour, the face winks and is suddenly iced over and smashes. This then leaves is back in the time vortex with the name of the actor playing the Doctor flying along and then the Doctor Who logo.

I've voted for yes because I think the opening sequence could do with a change for next season.

You know JLD that sounds pretty good. P.S. The name Academien or whatever suits your overwhelming knowledge of grammar and title sequences.

I study such things for lack of anything better to do. It's a sad life, that's if I had one.

Since 1967, the face on the title sequence has been a major part of Doctor Who tradition. Ok, we forgive the 1996 TV Movie for that deviation (it was a one-off after all), but what has been done on the new series...*Speechless*
