Series opener.
The start of the Doctor Who: Redacted podcast series.
Along with brief appearance here by Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor, the main cast of Redacted are that of Charlie Craggs as Cleo Proctor, Lois Chimimba as Abby McPhail and Holly Quin-Ankrah as Shawna Thompson.
Chimimba had worked with Jodie on the TV series in The Tsuranga Conundrum in which she played Mabli.
Prior to The Tsuranga Conundrum, Chimimba had previously worked with Jodie in the Trust Me TV series.
The said trio are presenters of the podcast series The Blue Box Files about a conspiracy theory on a certain police box and how they keep hearing someone called the Doctor being mentioned.
In their latest episode they discuss events that took place in Adipose Industries as depicted in Partners In Crime and has a character from that episode turned up here that of Penny Carter.
However Penny here isn't reprised by original actress Verona Joseph. It seemed that Joseph had retired from acting in 2014, some six years after Partners In Crime first came out in 2008.
In SOS, Penny is instead played by Sienna Kelly.
Another intriguing bit of SOS is the mention that a Graham O'Brien and Ryan Sinclair from Sheffield have been reported missing.
On first listen I wasn't too impressed with it at the start but things sure took a turn when issues of memory came into play and what a shocker of a cliffhanger when Rani Chandra (from The Sarah Jane Adventures and reprised by Anjli Mohindra) turned up and the message she delivered about the Doctor.
Although not as Rani, Mohindra had worked with Jodie in the TV series in Nikola Tesla's Night of Terror in which she played the Skithra Queen.
