Who's got a healthy collection of Dapol figures? My God, those things are hideous on ice.

I've seen all the Doctor Who merchandise coming out. It does nothing but send that all too unreassuring shiver down my spine, making me think: "Oh God! Please it not be cheapy and plasticy and generally AWFUL merchandise as seen with many other things!"
Please note it's at this point the original message writer collapsed on the floor in a cold sweat, gibbering about poor quality merchandising and what have you. Sorry for any inconvience this might cause as he is carted off to the local hospital's psyciatric unit. Sorry!

It's great to see the range of Doctor Who merchandise around today, although I won't be collecting much of it I might invest in a few action figures.
oh and regarding the Dapol figures: I've got quite a few of them and some of them aren't all that bad. The Daleks were good and the other monsters were a fair likeness (mind you they aren't too hard to go wrong with) and the Second Doctor figure was nice enough.

Merchandise or no merchandise (excluding videos and DVDs), I'd like the series all the same. In fact I think that there're some aspects of merchandising we could all do without, but I'm not saying what they are.

At home I don't really own that much Doctor Who merchandise, apart from a few DVDs and a two videos. Really, that's all the merchandising this show needs, with the addition of books and booklets. However as I type this I can see my Doctor Who calendar on the other side of the room, how sad am I? ;D But honestly, if I was the show's creator I'd be content with just DVDs and videos along with the main show, though spin off media is nice too if done properly.
