Trouble in Paradise is the sixth episode of Destiny of the Doctor by Big Finish/AudioGo which celebrated Doctor Who's 50th anniversary in 2013.
As this is the sixth episode it accordingly featured the Sixth Doctor as well as a cameo by the Eleventh Doctor who was then the incumbent Doctor.
Sixth Doctor actor Colin Baker however was not involved with this.
In lieu of Baker, this story is narrated by Nicola Bryant as Peri in a two-hander with Cameron Stewart in a dual role as Christopher Columbus and the Bovine Herd Leader.
Written by Nev Fountain and released in June 2013.
In contrast to the previous stories in the Destiny of the Doctor series, the Eleventh Doctor cameo takes place way much earlier in fact almost at the start as he tells the Sixth Doctor to find the omniparadox for him.
This leads the Sixth Doctor and Peri to the ship the Santa Maria in 1492.
This is where they meet Christopher Columbus.
Peri says that when she was a student she had researched Columbus for a project and came to the conclusion that Columbus wasn't the hero that he had been perceived to be.
In fact this episode presents Columbus in this very light, in a very villainous way.
Personally I have no qualms about Columbus being presented as the villain.
Their encounter with Columbus and having the task of getting the omniparadox comes with them also encountering the alien menace of the piece the leader of the Bovine Herd.
With Columbus and the Bovine Herd being the alien of the piece here, Trouble in Paradise makes for a very enthralling story to listen.
Definitely enjoyed it for every bit of it including the resolution it presents on the two said villains.
