The Fall of the House of Pollard is the penultimate episode of Charlotte Pollard season 1 from Big Finish.
This has Anneke Wills playing Charley's mother Louisa for the fourth and last time.
In fact, as I got reminded by TARDIS Wiki, unlike Louisa's previous appearances in which she was an apparition, The Fall of the House of Pollard is presented as a real character.
With Wills' previous appearance as Louisa over at the Doctor Who range it came with them glimpses of what Charley's family life was like.
With The Fall of the House of Pollard comes the fully fledged presentation of what that life was like for Charley before she met the Doctor on the R101 in Storm Warning.
The first season of Charlotte Pollard was released in 2014, thirteen years after the release of Storm Warning in 2001 and I appreciate this amount of time that it took for this backstory of Charley's to finally be told.
For Charley's parents it has been six years since Charley has been presumed dead on the R101.
Charley's family were a rich family but upon meeting her parents here they were having debts.
Debts that were difficult to resolve.
Eventually Charley reunites with her parents and they told her what it was like for them when they thought she was dead including her father Richard becoming a shadow of his former self as he took Charley's presumed death very hard.
It was fun when Charley discovered the books her father Richard had been reading.
This has a neat callback to The Chimes of Midnight as Edith Thompson gets mentioned and her name provides a key element to the proceedings of this episode.
Fascinating tale in this presentation of Charley's family life but quite a shocker with the end of a conversation at the end of this episode.
