Part 1 of the season 40 finale. This episode came on June 24 2017, the day after Dark Matter 3.4 which has the somewhat similar title of All The Time In The World. Thrilling teaser with the TARDIS landing the Doctor at a cold place with the Doctor stepping out with his hands having regeneration energy. Funny on the big spaceship Missy calling herself Doctor Who and I don’t buy it that Doctor Who is the Doctor’s real name. In the flashback the Doctor said that Nardole said yes in the former’s head. Not really a good message to send the audience especially young children. Superman gravity was described here and World Enough and Time director Rachel Talalay was Superman territory when she made her Supergirl directorial debut in 2.3 Welcome To Earth shown almost a year ago now. Shocking when Bill got shot and a big hole in her. She is however got saved when she got surgically treated. This episode marked the long-awaited return of John Simm as the Master and coincidentally I am also seeing Simm in his regular role in The Catch season 2. Saw through the Simm Master’s disguise as he befriends Bill. The Simm Master called himself Mr Razor and I figuring the significance of this name to him. I wonder why Steven Moffat as writer of this episode chose to use janitor the American word for cleaner. Intriguing on learning that time is flowing at different speed on each side of the ship. Outside of the hospital is impressive in its gloominess. Surprised when the Doctor used Venusian Aikido, something that was often used by his third self. What a moment when the Simm Master and Missy meet with the former asking the latter about remembering being here before. The Simm Master takes off his mask even though there was really no difference between it and his real face. This accompanying by the sound of drums and The Sound of Drums just had its tenth anniversary on June 23 the day before World Enough and Time. Kind of bizarre the Simm Master tell Missy for a kiss and that is kissing one’s self. What a cliffhanger when the Mondasian Cyberman is revealed to be Bill and seeing Bill’s tear on her face and the Doctor and Nardole seeing the two versions of the Master together with the Simm Master stating seeing the genesis of the Cybermen.
