Does this alien plot make any sense? Aliens want to become like gods so they take over a school in England? They use kids and eat a few of them? Then they have the kids be super smart and exhibit this to the substitute teacher? The Doctor? What's this plot supposed to accomplish? Someone fil me in? Thanks.

Well, the aliens want to become gods- established.
They use kids and boot up their intelligence to make use of the creativity of a child's mind.
The Doctor is another intelligent being and they want him to help them in their task, and promise to share their power with him on the way.
As for eating the kids it's probably a way of disposing of rejects. Don't know about the parents though.
Does this help?

The 'toungue in cheek' answer is NO the plot does not make sense, it is simply an excuse to bring in Sarah-Jane Smith.

Makes sense to me as well.
As for eating the kids and their parents not noticing, its strongly implied that they only ate those who had no families (the girl at the beginning lived in a home for instance. She could have run away for all they know).

okay. But it still seems like a plan to get caught.

okay. But it still seems like a plan to get caught. Yes, but they are aliens and probably don't realise this. Either that or they eat any investigators.

Well I finally got to see this episode and I thought it was a very fun episode! Though I also think it is the weakest episode of the season so far out of the four episodes (inc. TCI). Apart from that it was very clever and great to see Sarah-Jane and K-9, though there wasn't enough of him IMO.

I thought that it was a very strong episode. and who knows mabie the Krilitains didn't plan on sticking around to long to get caught. Mabit the kids were on the last few bits of cracking the equation. after all, near the end of the episode they were on the final phase of thier plan.

When Sarah was telling the Doctor that she thought he had died, he just said that everyone else died and that he lived. As I watched I wondered how in the world is she supposed to know what he's talking about. She did ask what he meant but, as usual, the Doctor didn't really explain. (no surprise there ;D!) I know that Captain Jack knew of the Time War but I don't think Sarah would have.

The fact that captain jack was a time agent, you would think the Time Lords would've come and wiped out their technology eons ago.

Well I just came up with a bit that doesnt. In fact I posted in a couple of days ago.
If humans could time travel in the future, that seems a bit silly really. I mean, when the Time Lords were around they killed off all the races that were developing time travel, right?

Well I just came up with a bit that doesnt. In fact I posted in a couple of days ago. If humans could time travel in the future, that seems a bit silly really. I mean, when the Time Lords were around they killed off all the races that were developing time travel, right? Not quite. They tended to intervene if the race was a threat to the fabric of time, but otherwise monitored and guided them. Examples: In Remembrence, the Doctor tells Ace that even as evil and destructive as the they are, the Daleks know not to screw about with timelines. And in The Two Doctors, the Time Lords send the 2nd Doctor and Jamie to the Chimera station to monitor the time experiements of Cartes and Rhymer, not to stop them unless nessecary. The Time Lords want dominance over time, not to stop others using time travel safely.
