I jsut say this because it seems so early in DT's career as the Doctor to have people thinking about his replacement already!

Well, ever since the concept of regeneration was first thought up some Doctor Who fans start speculation just five seconds in. Just pure curiosity that's all.

Why are we so attached to the idea that only one actor can play each incarnation of the Doctor? Nit-picking here but the first Doctor was played by someone else, and the seventh (but only on stage I think) and now the second Doctor is being animated. Why not use animation, prosthetics or impersonators to revive/extend the tenure of some of the Doctors?

On the second Doctor being animated: He's still voiced by Patrick Troughton. They're using the original soundtrack of those particular episodes you see.
But anyway, there's always going to be a few purists who are willing to nit-pick at another actor playing a particular incarnation of the Doctor...

True (on both points), but if a CGI "Masters of Luxor" came out on DVD you'd buy it wouldn't you? Unless Catherine Tate was doing all the voices, of course. (Cheap jibe; I like her)

"Masters of Luxor"...
I'd only buy it if it featured the original voices of William Hartnell and Jaqueline Hill, both of whom are now dead.

I think Tennant should stay on for three seasons, whilst his successors stay on for seven, five and three respectively.
