Season 2 finale of Iris Wildthyme.

As indicated in the title this is a Christmas story for Iris in fact as it says in the title Santa himself appears in it and played by Peter Sowerbutts.
Guest stars Sarah Douglas as Mrs Mary Claus and she makes a wonderful villain here.
Also in The Claws of Santa is former Eighth Doctor companion actor Conrad Westmaas (C’rizz) and he did well in his role here as ST58. In fact like Katy Manning, Westmaas had played a companion to a current Doctor.
The Claws of Santa follows on from the cliffhanger of the previous story The Panda Invasion in which Panda got separated from Iris when he got sucked into another dimension. Here they got reunited.
The Claws of Santa is a truly fun Christmas story including the reason why Mary is doing what she is doing.
I quite like it when Iris said that she is for life and not just for Christmas and I can easily say the same about Katy Manning herself.
